Not really. I haven't worked on that lacemaker in a while. I've got all of the drawings done up for it, but with business being slow this year and money being tight I haven't ordered up any materials to make a batch of them. I guess I need to do that and get some made up. Chris

I got the book on making sandals from Tandy. That's a pretty good book, a number of designs in there. For an ebook I thought it was a bit pricey, but I thought it was money well spent when I got it. Chris

When I make a business card holder I don't wet mold it. I just make it a bit oversize and just let the everyday use of it sort of forms it to the shape, sort of wear forming if you will. However without seeing pictures of what it is exactly that you are making and where the wrinkles are it's hard to say if that would work for that or not. Chris

I don't think tandy still sells the 2062 pack, I just checked their site and couldn't find it. Chris

I do machining and when I got my tandy lacemaker I had that same thought to, the problem that I ran into wasn't so much in how to machine the body of the lacemaker, but rather how to put the really thin slot in it for the blade. I ended up designing some lace making tools of my own, which I had planned to make and sell, but as of yet haven't done so. Maybe I need to get back on that project. The simple little lace maker design that I came up with would cut the lace, thin the lace, and bevel the lace, and was only about 1" wide and about 5" long and about 3/4" thick if I remember right. Thanks, glad you liked it. It was a really easy project. All I did was take my old case apart and make a pattern from it. It's one of those projects that nice to do when you don't have a ton of time to work on something. They really go together quickly. The case has a leather wedge in it so when you close the snap you don't crush the glasses. The original had some molded plastic piece in there that went between the nose pieces of the glasses, so I made one from leather. The case really works well. Chris

I hope so. While the projects are simple in nature, because I do everything by hand there's a good bit of time in all of those presents. Chris

The case that came with my glasses finally wore out and I needed a replacement. Rather than buy one I thought I would try and make one instead. So I took apart the one that I had and used it to make pattern for this one. It's nothing fancy by any means, but it was fun to make, and as a prototype I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
