  1. Thank you, Kevin, for sharing your knowledge and experience! Rudi
  2. I'm thrilled by your invention! Would you recommend a maximum leather thickness or a maximum size of a molding project?
  3. Hi Bob, already studying your book, already arranging circles, leaves and scrolls and abusing your templates for my attempts at being creative, already impressing my (non-leatherworker) friends here in Vienna and of course never showing them the pictures in your book... ;)Thanks for responding so promptly to my PO Rudi
  4. (I have more work here: http://www.flickr.co...699%40N04/show/ ) I just looked up your photo stream... My first spontaneous reaction to it was the desire to give my leathercraft tools to the poor... Earnestly: that's what I'm aiming at though it seems like a long shot! Rudi
  5. That's what I'd like to accomplish!
  6. Die Arbeiten sind alle zum Niederknien! Hab mich selber kürzlich an einer Gürteltasche versucht, in die ich auch "gussets" über Eck einnähen wollte - ein Desaster! Wie kriegt man so eine saubere Naht hin?
  7. Großartige Arbeiten! Sehr professionell!

  8. I admire your work, TenWolves! Since I am a mere novice I'd like to look over your shoulder while you are at work: Which is the thickness of the leather you use for folded moneybelts? Do you make a stitching groove? You actually soak the different leather parts in coffee? How long so (for achieving a color like your spottet double rig which seems to shimmer between dark brown and dark blue)? Doesn't soaking for several days affect the tooling (your tooling sure looks unaffected!)? LederRudi

After reading the tutorial about leather casing I realize why the tooling looks somewhat superficial.

I wanted to use real stiff, sturdy leather (10-12 oz), then I realized that I wouldn't be able to bend the holster in order to get it through the loop, so I had to sew the loop to the skirt with the holster beneath. If I let you see the edge you would notice that the thickness of the saddleskirting I used varies. Not knowing how to achieve an even stitching on the backside I punched all holes in advance hoing they would correspond. The pattern is Will Ghormley's of course.
