FWIW, when I do "snap strap" style pancake holsters, I make the straps part of the holster itself, as opposed to making them an add on piece. I tried it once how you did it and I didnt like how the straps would rotate around on the single attachment point. It uses a bigger chunk of hide but I feel it is worth the gain in stability. YMMV

I like Glock holsters Nice Job. I particularly like the double row of stitching where the hides meet in the middle.

That kydex got WAY too hot. 360°-370° is where I do mine. And thats pushing the envelope. Use a non contact thermometer to measure the temp.

Last time I called Springfield for shark leather they sent me a HUGE piece of shark! Biggest I've ever seen. However, it had absolutely zero texture to it and I had to return it. Did you try John Fong?

The double keepers look nice but depending on the spacing might not fit quite right due to the belt loops on the pants. The longer the belt, the better the chance of it working. I use a 6oz keeper made from the same strap that the belt come from.

The leather holster rubbing on the leather belt makes noise. Some wax or talcum powder could help.
