  1. The OP used Eco-Flow, which is some of the worst garbage ever created IMO... especially for items like holster that will see wear and tear. The Pro Waterstain is another creature altogether and is much better in my experience. jpaltan, what color Eco-Flow did you use? Personally I like when the browns are uneven and marbled looking, adds character. At any rate, you can always go black. After everything is dried and buffed you can seal it up with some resolene, or satin sheen, or super sheen. Welcome to LW.net!
  2. I use an LCP mag as a mold and havent had any negative feedback from doing so. But to directly answer your question, no I do not have the measurements.
  3. The frog cames from John Fong. Dont bother looking for comprehensive website, just give him a call. Super nice guy.
  4. Hey guys, Paypal doesnt want to give me your addresses. Can you PM them to me please? Thanks!
  5. Hi Paul, That is Terra Cotta. I have a few Cognac skins and they are very similar.
  6. Sorry Bluesman, I didnt even see your post. I had to scroll up to figure out what you were talking about. But you nailed it. I poke two holes with a stitching awl, stick the prongs through, and then use needlenose pliers to flatten/bend/smash the prongs down tight. Thanks!
  7. Looks great! I'd probably replace that flattened snaphead though.
  8. I gave up on round knives because the ability to sharpen them correctly eludes me. I still use an exacto knife to cut leather. I keep a sharpening stone nearby and give the blade a couple of swipes every few patterns.
  9. Got it. Will send out USPS tomorrow. Thanks!
  10. I certainly do. Let me know how many you need. Paypal address is still the same as above. Thanks!
  11. Thanks again! The mag carrier design was per the customers request and sketch. Both in the layout of the exotics as well as the spine to spine orientation of the mags. He also requests that I not follow the profile where the dust cover slips up into the slide and instead stitch straight down instead of stepping over a stitch. Not unreasonable requests, and as long as they do not create an unsafe condition or cause functionalty problems in the holster itself, I have no problem accomodating him. Dan
  12. Eric that looks awesome! Im a big fan of your tooling work.
  13. Jake, Iuse what I assume is the same punch. I hit it with a 3 pound deadblow hammer 3 or 4 times to get through a standard pancake holster. I use a scrap of left over belt strip as a backer and make sure I am hammering directly over the leg of the work bench. I've tried hitting it with a regular rubber mallet and it just bounces it off and laughs at me.
  14. Put this together for the same fella that ordered the Ostrich Inlay set I posted a few weeks back. While were at it, here is a shark trimmed IWB-6 And a bullfrog half panel pancake with matching mag carriers And why not, a full panel bullfrog And, one must keep the ladies happy Thanks for looking! As falways, feel free to post questions, comments, or criticisms. Dan
  15. A recent Glock 26 thumb break pancake had this problem. Worked fine on the bluegun, but when using the real firearm, it was at least a full snap off. Water and stretching made it fit, but was still quite embarrassing.
  16. What is the capacity of this machine? leather thickness/ thread size? thanks!
  17. There seems to be a few different styles of full size Operators. I am seeing the TRP with the full rail, the Operator with 4 "teeth", and the Operator with 3 "teeth". Why doe sthis stuff have to be so confusing Springfield? HUH?
  18. A good piece of shark is typically easy to work with. It edges up pretty nice, sews easy, a cuts very nicely with a sharp Exacto. I would recommend Rojo Leather on eBay for a smaller piece to start with, until it is time to buy a full skin. The great thing about their ebay store is that you get to see the exact piece you will be receiving.
  19. I need one that is 1.25x.25, if he can do that with a handle, for cutting the buckle slots in a belt. Shoot me a message or something if he can do that. Thanks!
