I am still trying to decide on a sewing machine purchase.... I need to be able to sew heavy leather dog collars, nylon dog collars and leather purses. I have sewing machine experience but not on the commercial machines. I am considering the Techsew 2700 or the 2700 Pro. Just wondering if anyone has these machines and what they think of them ?? I am wondering if it's worth the extra to go with the 2700 Pro , for the extra cost of $545.00 more ? It's a big investment to me right now, just want to make sure I get the right machine as with the tax and shipping cost it adds up quickly. Also, I have been reading about the speed reducers and am wondering if this is needed for this machine ? Thanks !

Thanks so much Bruce , appreciate it. I am not clear on what you mean by the roller not being in line with then needle, I will go watch the video again. I really like the Laser Guide feature and the flatbed attachment that this one includes. The support form the company is the most important thing to me when making a purchase and I hear their customer service is very good which means a lot.. Bruce I would love to hear from you after you get a chance to try the Techsew 2700 Pro as this is the machine that I have been thinking about purchasing also. It seems to have everything that I need for the work I would like to do and they seem to have great service from what I have heard so far. It's a big decision , I have been looking for some time now

What about a photo frame mat. Everyone can always use one of these and you could make them any size you want, 4x6 etc... The students could personalize it, whether the picture frame was going to be for their pet, grandchildren etc. They have a project that could be displayed as a conversation piece for years to come. It
