  1. Hey bruce, I am in the market for a new-OLD S.K do you have any??? I checked your site, and didn't see any:(
  2. I need one of those! Great!
  3. Good Morning! .....3 hrs of sleep this is how I roll! Every day! Great tunes and a pot of coffee!!!!!! YARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! GGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT TTTTTTTOOOOOOO WWWWWWORRRRRRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKK!
  4. that is 4oz?? No....it can't be.....Looking great I wish I could zoom in and check it out better!!
  5. OK so 1 more small addition before I hit the sack! The Razor knife will get a LOT more attention and possible pinstripes / fancy knife filigree, but figured it is something I can bust out fast so I don't have to look at so much empty spaces for the time being until 2mo when I can hit it again. I just want to get everything ruffed in and then worry about the tedious details later. Well it is 3 am and I have to be up in hrs.....good night all!
  6. That is funny!!!!!!!!!!! I know you don't have anything better to do up in the woods...kind of like island time....metsä aika...come on get crackin'! Vittu Sataa Lunta!!!!!!!!! 3m helsingissa. Sen teen Työ! hahahha
  7. That is one way to use them for sure!!!!!!! Awesome, and thanks for not letting me down Syl! I have seen people use those stamps to make some pretty wicked basket weave style stamping on clutch purses and bags, filling in the whole inside area with that meander...for some reason I don't have any yet, it is on my list though!
  8. Ya because the seeder gives it a bevel and is very smooth, it looks like a gem kind of a thing, but it will dull down with use. Picking up dirt from the hands. Good question! I think the lighting was hitting it just right in the photo as well.
  9. NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS! hahahahaha I clean the work space almost every day just to organize, but sometimes it needs some serious attention when you are as busy as <I have been the last few weeks, total where is that OMG OK I HAVE TO CLEAN::::4hrs later, now I can't find my good old strop, and worried it is gone ...oh well I will just make another one:) it is probably # 500 and something anyway:) hahahah as far as to tie all together I just need to look at my arms....€,$¢ C cleffs question marks, whiskey dots and stars of all kinds and lots more artwork.....MUU-HAA(evil laugh). Man, carving pinstripes is HARD!!!!!!!!! Especially with a gimp S.K.... The Picture looks small on your computer but it is 20"L x 9" tall.....So it is quite a big piece...then there will be more pinstripes around it, but the pinstripe artist wanted to wait until I was done with all the other pictures to design more pinstripes...
  10. Ok 1 more hour and I am done for the day...night whatever:) I finished knifing out the Ford logo, now I just need to Bevel out the rest of the letters:) Here you can really see the biggest difference between beveling and not beveling! I over sharpened my knife today, and I need to spend some time dulling it back down a bit, or flatten out the edge and start over...I thought I would try my diamond sharpener on the hollow ground S.K., but I am not real happy with the results, they are great for my other knifes, but I think it isn't right for the swivel knife....again back to old school basics:) But I am out of Rouge, which is why I used the diamani...I cleaned the other day and can't find my ready strop anywhere...I think it might have gone to the trash accidentally! AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. AWESOME DAVID!!!!!!!!!! Man your seats are really great! I love everything about it! Especially the 2-toned lace! It is very tricky to get figured out and when you get into it ; it is very zen and well worth it! F'N GREAT!
  12. Everybody has an excuse... this post is dead.... calling Twin Oaks for the March Challenge!!!!!!!!! the people have spoken....hahahahaha you are the Grand Poobah! Set your people free! FoxJ and I where the only 2 people to try anything.... ...ok I can get back to work on my door panels now:)
  13. It is ok!!!...I understand, but there are 100's if not 1,000's of leather workers and craft people here, I thought this would for sure get some people involved. People that don't make animals or floral patterns...not that there is anything wrong with that!!!!Everyone has their specialty, but hey it is what it is....oh well, it is at the bottom of the forum! I think just not so many folks look for it down here...This topic should be up top... I Feb. is over!
  14. THAT IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THE FREE STYLE!!!!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH! I enjoyed that!
  15. Ok here is 3 more hours of work on the door panels, I got theFord - D finished...I have to tell ya, doing pinstripes in this style of stipe is a heck of a challenge to bevel! Those of you who don't know ther is 3 main style of pinstriping, this logo is made up of all 2...because if we are going to do it and pinstripers are going to be seriously checking this out,; then we might as well throw a wrench in their brain as well... Every letter has its own weird stuff going on, so this is one heck of a mind bender! How do you bevel straight lines.."reverse beveling" ....I figured it out; but WOW my brain hurts! hahaha I had to take a break away from it for a while, so I started the crown and the Eagle as well...there is going to be so many more pieces, but like i said, at least it is a start....
  16. WOW THAT TELE LOOK AMAZING! I am an archtop guy to the death, and your look very interesting for sure, I can just hear how smooth and mellow they feel just from looking at them! Beautiful work!!!!!

  17. The link to your website is not working:( at least from here.

  18. Post up some pics of your work and stamps in your gallery! I would like to see them!

  19. I am using 5/6oz for the door panels,(kind of regretting it and may change to 8/9oz before I get to deep into the first panel, the beveler is giving a ok depth, but it is a much thinner leather than I usually work with. Almost all of my work is done on 8/9oz and I start while it is still wet looking to get the best results, and continue to wet it as it looks dry to keep the same flow and softness of the leather for consistency.
  20. No way dude! Red Dye!!!!!
  21. I didn't do any work on Sunday or monday since I worked saturday...need time with the kids sometime....and my Honey Do list:) Unless I have a rush motorcycle going to a big show or magazine shoot, I don't work weekends...except sometimes....I try not to anyway...I did get some work on the Jinx Proof cat done this morning at 6:30-7:30 before I ran off to my Finnish language course I am now taking on top of my crazy work load...hahahaha no rest for the weary and never to late to learn a new language! Bad lighting on the pic...but there you go.
  22. Where is the gold stitching??????...Green for the Money...Gold for the Honey! That is very nice! I dig it.
