I hate Celtic Knots too! But that is what is so great about these challenges...in Jan Twin Oaks posted an Eagles head challenge...I never did one before( how that is I am not sure) but anyway...now since then I have had to make 3 full eagles for clients jobs...go figure! Maybe now you will have to make some for clients in the near future and this is a way to get your head in the game! hahahah Ya never know! Life is weird like that! Hey man mistakes are ok and matting can be confusing when doing these knots! So just maybe live with a mistake and chalk it up as lesson learned:) I promise we won't crucify you for being human! 624 give or take 1 or 2...That is how many lace holes there are...I figure it is going to take 50meters 164ft of lace per door panel! WOWSERS! I am calling it a day and the Ford logo for this panel is DONE!!!!!!!!! Please allow me to adjust my pants, so that I may dance the good time dance!!!!!! Ford Logo --DONE Tiki Handle for the Straight Razor--DONE 624 Holes punched--Done! Border Scallop 100% Star and Leaf Tool 50%-Done Designed the next Picture leather next up for this panel (that will remain a surprise) hahahaELH!-Done! = 1 very tired guy! A electric guitar is all about the pick ups anyway...and Scott has some super sick mods and ways to make that tele sound like it should...My luthier is in charge of Steven Seagal's massive blues legends guitar vault...he is my frakin' hero! He owns Albert Kings guitars and anyone you can name when it comes to blues legends he actually owns THAT guys guitar! Anyway, Scott is a miracle worker and he said he would have that Tele stripped and ready for me in 10 minuets...and I am more than welcome to come over and time him....I think I will LOLOLOL!!!!!!! It may mellow out the wood, but it really isn't going to affect anything accept natural sustain...but the is easily fixed with a volume and pick up mod.

I am going to have some minions help lace these things! What I am really not looking forward to is drilling out the holes in the wood! Drill press hell! I have the second panel basic mock up with pictures already done, but still moving and adding them a bit. I see this one being done this week:) I might beat 120hrs:) I am just trying to get it done...my list is growing by the day and summer is coming already:) I juts have to buckle down and live with maybe a couple small things that I know are going to drive me crazy, but I really don't have to much time to look back. Full stem ahead and damn the torpedoes!

OK STILL WORKING ON THE BLADE, AND I THINK I AM GOING TO PICK UP SOME GOLD LEAF FOR IT....BUT ANYWAY DON'T LOOK AT THAT PART YET!!!!!! HAHAHAHA So got the lace holes punched Started the border Did the tiki...which my wife drew:) yes she is awesome! And carved the snake/rose...also been working on a super secret bad ass drawing which has to go on the doors! You will see....I don't even want to spoil it! I am almost afraid to attempt carve it...but it MUST be done! I had a little help today from my son god bless him...but it was a little messy but fun anyway I can clean up and hide a coupe little spots! He really wanted to help....HE HAS BEEN WATCHING TO MANY GEORGE HURST VIDEO ON TANDY'S WEB SITE! HE IS ONLY 3....HAHAHAHA But hey he has the right attitude...just a little trouble keeping in the lines...but that is ok, I can fix just about anything:)

I am working with one of the best luthiers in the world and we have some tricks up our sleeves! It will sound WAY better than it does now!

So here is my next major project to start while I am working on the 1951 Ford Door Panels. A Vintage Fender Tele...full on wrap and tool job! My idea is pretty wild, it may even get the cowboys to get on board with this one! Wild West scene coming on the front and back and sides of the Leather Wrap! Going to pick up the guitar from the customer tomorrow!!!!!! I have been wanting to do a wrap on mine...but you know how it goes...a mechanic's car never runs...hahahaha I make leather all day every day and never seem to hardly have time for my own plans!...Isn't just the way:)
