  7. YOU HAVE DONE YOUR CHALLENGE AND CONQUERED!!!!!!!! Challenge was Create a Celtic Knot using only 3 tools...... Now whatever you decide to do with the rest is up to you....you should stamp the back as well and lace it up...that is going to make a very nice pouch!! GREAT JOB!!!!!! Post up some pics when it is all done! THANKS SO MUCH FOR PARTICIPATING AND I HOPE YOU HAD FUN!
  8. I didn't trash em' and i think you went a little overboard....all i did was sigh:) hahahahahaha
  9. OMG all I did was sigh.........hahahahahaha Hey if that is what a customer wants then great!!!! Give it to them!
  10. The snaps from Tandy are awful! They are expensive and you get like 10-20...and they are weak snaps! They pop real easy...so if you are putting them on a bracelet chances are you will lose it after about a week! They should have them at Johann's or Frank's or whatever big store that has sewing and crafts stuff. I get mine from boot supply shop that is for shoemakers, I get 100 heavy duty snaps for about 12 bucks, brass , silver or copper, they sell boxes of 1,000 but that is 20 per part per box so 80 bucks, but I just buy 100 at a time and that lasts a while:) I think I bought 100 silver ones 5-6 months ago and I use 2 snaps per bracelet. I use the same ones for everything, wallets,belts,bracelets,cases....Heavy Duty! NOT LINE 24!!!!!!!! THEY SUCK!!!!!! If you are in a pinch just seek out a Cobbler/ Shoe repair guy local and either buy some from them or ask where they order their snaps from. It may be a local supplier.
  11. did you use the stylus to just draw the picture? Or ..as a tool to get into the tight spots? If you only used it to draw then you have another tool option! LOOKS GREAT!!!!!
  12. I have 3 different brands of stamps IVAN , Craftool new and VINTAGE...they where all the same around the edges...but the Ivan set cuts much better. On all of them I took a flat file to the edges so they would all line up straight instead of a little mold edge sticking out...now all is good! But IVAN is a much better Letter/Number stamp for the same money. Not so much filing. Plus my vintage stamps are slightly wider than the new ones, so if I accidentally mix the letters when using a lot of them a trained eye would catch it in a second...it may be a millimeter in width of the mold but it is enough to even through me off sometimes the letters may get mixed up between boxes I do have 2 kids that play with them as well sometimes so it happens from time to time:). I have to look for the corrosion on the old ones so I know I am not using them to stamp along side the new ones.
  13. GREEN OR THE MONEY...GOLD FOR THE HONEY!!!!!!!! SWEET!!!!!!!!!
  14. Patience is the key! No need to go dropping big money on anything until you are sure you are ready...until then the small cheap stuff with get you in the direction you will be heading. Tandy has assortment bags for sale as well, and if you have one close just go by there and pick out your bag, they are cheap! It was great of Cyberthrasher to come up with the Celtic Knot idea for tis month...that way we all know who to cuss..........OMG!!!!!! KRYPTONITE! Can't see the cross over or under lines...feeling week...ohhhhhh must Bevel....everything is joning together...ohhhhhh nooooooooooooo.... I border stamped a cross over line....OH GOD HELP US ALLLLLLLLLLLLL Perkulee "#%&*^`! Cyberthrasher...YOU DEMENTED INDIAN! hahahahaha
  15. For a first timer that is a heck of a job!!!! When I upload pics I click use full editor, then at the bottom there is a CLICK TO ATTACH FILES button...if you upload there we can click on your picture and blow it up...the way you did it is embedded in your message and we can't make it big. That way if you have any questions about techniques we can possibly help you ...or confuse you more...LOL Anyway back to your coaster! The more you practice with your knife you will realize the stamps are just for added flavor, yes they do make some cool images out of stamps, but using the knife is what will make your piece stand out and be a one of a kind! Even if you copy from the web it is still your interpretation of the image used. GREAT JOB!!!!! Thanks for participating!!!!! Looking forward to see what kind a leather bug we are creating!!!! Cheers!
