Nice site and good looking work.

Wondering if anyone can help me learn to braid motorcycle levers like the Iron Braid? I am really tring to figure it out but having trouble and a tutorial would be appreciated. Will only be making things for friends and not for sale.

The one I am looking for had the horse head coming through the circular edges of the clock. The pattern required a lot of use of a hair blade also. The pattern was 12" x 12" and had a circular clock face and a horse that was looking to the left but almost a 3/4 shot if that makes any sense and had a flowing mane. I will know the pattern when I see it but can't for the life of me remember where I got it "wayyyyyy back then". I am thinking it was in a Leather Craftsman or Make it with Leather magazine, but really not sure. Would have been in one from 1970 to 1976... Thinking in an issue from 1974 to 1975.... I think I need a better memory if anyone has one available!! Thanks, Mike

Found the pics and how to attach.....................This Maul is 20.4 oz The coin in the end is a 1 Troy oz silver coin I found. The maul is the best investment I have made so far!! Works great and solid!

I just got my new maul from "Bearman" today!!! I am so tempted to throw my Tandy maul away! Anybody not using one of these is crazy IMHO. Handles well and the one he made me came in at 20.4 oz and works so much better than the 1 lb Tandy maul. Plus it is absolutely beautiful. If I ever need another one I know I will not hesitate to get another one from him. Plus he told me that mine was the FIRST one to come out of the new shop.....makes it even more sentimental with that knowledge. Thanks Bearman.......................you ROCK!!!!! will post pics when I figure out how to do it!!

I just "finished" a project with the Bee's Natural Care RTC.............it is not a good thing! My project is now in startover phase as I need to get some clearlac or something else close to the old neatlac. Really bummed at this, but, considering it a practice piece now. I really hate "progress" and the way it messes things up that really worked in the past! Really disappointed and any suggestions would be welcome.

Will the "better" machine do the light things like purses and patches also? Not wanting to get 2 or 3 machines. Would like to get one that will do all I want. Also I am a Travel Nurse and will be mounting this in my 6 x 12 trailer and take everything with me as I go, at least until I retire and then planning on doing leatherwork full time then......well between the fishing and hunting anyways!

I am trying to stay under 1000.00. probable wont sew over 3/8" and if I do I would probably outsource it to someone who really knows what they are doing and has the machine to do it with. That is why I was thinking of the 29k. Not really sure as this is a new aveue for me. All I have ever done in the past is handstitch.

How much would one of these cost? And how thick will it sew?

Well that fixes that idea. What kind of "inexpensive" machine would do refle slings and holsters as that is where I am leaning towards?

Found a 29k51 and a 29k70. Which one is best for sewing leather?
