  1. Yes, going for this look (Grenson Sharp). Using the Fiebing's Pro Dye as well.
  2. Quick update. One pass of dye complete. Still need to do the tongue and more touch ups at the welt. Obenauf LP when complete. I bought some denatured alcohol from Home Depot and found a seller on eBay that would ship Pro Oil Dye to CA.
  3. Thanks, they're definitely some form of spring snap. The top cap is what intrigues me.
  4. http://www.inkleafleather.com/all/largesnappouch Thanks!
  5. Ah, that was quick. But here's what I was after (sorry to be picky!):
  6. Curious if anyone has a pattern for these? It seems easy enough but I suppose a pattern would be that much sweeter. Something like a 3.5-4" triangle or so. Wanting to make some for holiday gifts! Cheers
  7. Are they still offering up a package for us leather workers?
  8. Hey there, I was wondering if anyone works with this leather? I just received a side from Waterhouse and while pretty good, is much whiter than other natural veg tanned sides I've worked with. Just curious if anyone has worked with it and how you like it. Since it's 100% veg tanned, I'd imagine it should burnish just as well as the others but how does the color change with time/sun? Thanks
  9. Thank you! I'll give it a look when I get home.
  10. Fantastic! When playing with the pattern I noticed the size could have been an issue. My daily sunnies measure about 5 3/4" and I didn't think it'd fit. Thanks! Is there any way to enlarge the current template? I'd be poking my own holes anyway.
  11. Can you post interior photos with glasses inside? Going to attempt this very soon.
  12. Hey all, I noticed Fiebing's Oil and regular dye is not allowed to be shipped to California. I've used some a while ago that I purchased from Tandy but can no longer get a hold of any. What are you fellow Californians using? I've tried Eco-Flo dye from Tandy but I much preferred the results of the Fiebing's offerings. Thanks
  13. I would love to see any photos you have of the finished product if you have them. Going to give thinner/alcohol a try in place of Deglazer and the regular Leather Dye as I'm in California.
  14. I've had these for such a long time but never wear because they're too orange my liking. Thinking about dying a dark brown, if possible. The leather is drum-dyed. Any suggestions on how to go about changing the color of these?
  15. I live in an apartment so looking for alternatives to using a mallet and irons. I realize these aren't expensive at all and will likely try them out, but wanted to see if anyone has had experience? http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-85mm-Frenchstyle-Leathercraft-Pricking-Iron-Stitching-Chisel-2-4prong-Nippers-/261610193197?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ce92ec12d They have diamond shaped and French-style. I understand the limitations of using these, but figure it's worth a shot. Thanks
  16. Anyone know where to get these very same rivets? Style and finish?
  17. Hi there, I'm interested in 3.h, 3.g, and 3.f. What are the sizes and can you msg me prices? Cheers
  18. Funny, I thought that first image was something similar to what I've seen. My girlfriend just got one of those Mansur Gavriel bags...
  19. Very nice! I've always been curious how you do the backing of those card slots?
  20. Would you mind posting photos of what you mean? Also, is the process to paint the edges (Edgekote?) then heat seal? Thanks.
  21. Is this used to burnish the edges or just to burn around the edges?
  22. Thanks for the interest, guys. These have been sold.
