  4. wow...thats amazing. you sir are my hero, cant wait till i can do that.
  5. now this is what i do, maybe not the right way.......dob the edge with lil water, burnish lightly, then i apply edge kote from tandy leather supply, burnish till its uniform. then buff till it shines, shines, shines. then i'll rub the edge on my beeswax blosk and buff forever till it absorbs. gives you a nice clean slick edge thats waterproof from sweat and whatever it may be submerged in. hope this helps buddy and have fun with it.
  6. made this for a customer hope you all like it, he sure does.

  8. would you charge double the time on a crazy carved and stamped guitar strap, with insane detail kind of stuff?
  9. hello been awhile since i've been on. lots going on in life right now as everyone has. i've been making alot of stuff, and when i quote a price some people are saying im upping the price to get rich(ya). so my question is , what is the general thought on pricing leather goods. most of what i do is a one off, i make and design the patterns 90 % of the time. so how would i figure a good price scale on things? trying to figure this out and not cost me anything to do there project. i've had to pay for materials before to finish a piece because i quoted to low, my wife dont like this!!!! so if any of you old timers, masters of the craft, or high selling individuals have a price scheme that may help, please give me an idea. thanks from a 2 yr. newbie. justin
  10. try letting the front cover wrap around to the back of the pad and stick. then work some mink oil into the cover a few times with a soft rag and roll it up and work the leather its what i done to my wifes pad cover...basically the same as your art pad cover. mink oil rubbed in and the leather worked a bit will make it plyable enough to roll out the way when you are drawing and lets the fuss be over. worked for me man. happy leathering. justin
