  1. That seat is very impressive. I haven't developed that kind of patience yet .
  2. I like the shoulder strap design, that is a nice idea. The butterfly design is great, too.
  3. hey there papaleather - I am in the Atlanta area, too, and have been looking for some fellow leatherworkers to learn some new tricks. I'm fairly new myself and am learning as much as I can from the internet, but as you know sometimes it helps to sit with someone else and and do it with them.
  4. I like that idea and am impressed. Is the rocker/handle on the bottom wet formed or have some sort of support built into the handle? My wine bottles don't stay full that long.
  5. That is a nice wallet. Is that a piece of clear plastic on the left side? May I ask how it is attached - sewn to the top piece only?
  6. That bag is very nice. My wife said she would be afraid to fly with it as everyone at the airport would be envious of that suitcase.
  7. I think it is a wonderful case. I hope it works well for you.
  8. Thank you all for the encouraging support. My original goal was to put a stitched border but I was so excited to finish I forgot to do that. My next project is in the works... I look forward to sharing it with y'all for more tips.
  9. Honestly, George, I put the pens on a piece of paper and just designed around it. I wanted to make a zipper case, but my zippering skills are weak. I used the standard journal case for my outer cover with rounded lace as a wrap-around. The leaf button was found at a craft shop during a vacation.
  10. Hello - I have followed this board for a while and have been working with the kits and packaged items. This is my first attempt at making a pattern and creating something, learning a lot more about leatherworking along the way. After reading "How to Make Leather Cases" by Al Stohlman, I thought "what can be so hard about that?" I can see several areas for improvement, but I am interested in feedback from others to see what I missed in my self-assessment. This was a gift for my wife, along with a few fountain pens. She loves it (which is all that matters to me)
  11. That is a very nice bag. I am working on a sporran, also. Reading this post has inspired me to incorporate a knife pouch in the back
