It's just what they are called as all gh have them on at the track

Not long since finished this greyhound style collar .it's made for a pure deerhound the collar is made from Italian bridle leather and a soft pig skin lining with solid brass fittings as all my work it's all hand sewn

that's a better stitch I feel but may get a tad smaller for my smaller collars -

Hi all I have been wetting my edges of the bridle leather burnishing them then putting beez wax on and rubbing that in but sometimes the edges go fluffy afterwards say a week or so but I was thinking wetting the leather would make it go fluffy so what if I just used beez wax and burnish that in what would this work like. Many thanks kev

Can any of you guys explain how and why some folks use soldering iron on the edges of leather I just use a slicker on the thick leather but on the thin pig skin my edges are rubbish would this be a good method of using a hot soldering iron???
