you sew right up to the d ring and double back the stiching all my old collars was made that way but took longer to do so i started with the rivets
a lurcher is a hunting dog we use in uk they are crossed with all sorts mine are crossed with deerhound greyhound collie bull terrier
made this today its made with british bridle leather and has solid brass fittings hand sewn with yellow tiger thread and brass rivets not so keen on the rivets now so i think i will just all hand sew from now on
nice looking collar give your edges more burnishing even on your leather keeper and put edge kote on make a collar loo so much better thats all i use on my collars
Don't own a shotgun laws hear ar harsh love hunting though that's why I make collars for my hunting dogs but the law is messed up with that too this little island of ours is all wrong needs a good kik up the arse

i just dye my edge and dampen with water then burnish it with my sliker then use edge kote the wax i put on is an old sadlers blend i get from unicorn leather in the uk you just rub that all over then wipe off the rest simple as that tbh
its for my pup will soon be turning into a monster lol good old elbow grese and edge kote on the edges the stiching i use a priking iron give a nice clean stich
