  1. Bad ass!!!!! How many hours of work did it take you to do all of your latest work?
  2. Once I changed the thread size and had same problem changed the needle one size up and taaddaaaaa!! Lol
  3. What exactly does that machine do?
  4. I've been using the gel antiques from Tandy and so far their ok. But I want better. A saddle maker that I look up too tells me that he makes his antique CREAM. He says that he mixes 2 or 3 ( I forgot) creams to make his finished antique product . Does anyone have any ideas of what he uses or might use? I have never used anything else besides the gels from Tandy. I currently am waiting for the fiebibgs paste(light brown)hopefully I like it better. I would ask him how he does them or what products he uses but I am pretty shy, nervous, intimidated that he'll get offended or mad. And also his shop is pretty far and I won't be going there for a while. If anyone has their own mixes or preference brand can you tell me info and why you like them. Happy Friday leather workers.
  5. I was using a small latter stool if you will and I just bought a craftsmen shop stool at sears so far I like it . No wheels.I have a cobra 4 and I lowered it the lowest possible. with the stool now I look forward to raising it again
  6. How can I put them up?
  7. So I started leather work about 2-3 years ago and after a couple of belts, spur straps and Charro saddles. I decided to get some good tools and a good sewing machine. About a 3 weeks ago I went over to leather machine co and picked up a cobra class 4 (I am super happy with it) and I sold 4 singer machines I had been using and struggling with for 2-3 years. About a week ago I received some c s Osborne tools (2 rosette cutters and a oblong punch oh and a 2' English strap end cutter) so so with those new punches I needed a good heavy maul.. so just today I received my two bk mauls 16oz and a 48oz oh and two bevelers and a thumbprint. I just thought I shared my joy and happiness it has been a really good month and year for me (I'm also going to be a father).thank you God. And bless everyone out there.
  8. Hi Steve . Are there any repercussions if you use the slotted plate, holster plate, and the stirrup plate and you do not remove the feed dog. Is there any type of damage that can occur?
  9. I just got my class 4 last Friday and I'm barely trying to figure out the holster plate and I was wondering if you need to change or take of the bottom feed dog? Also using those different plates do I need to use the right presser foot only?
  10. I'm also interested would you ship to southern California.
  11. Were are you located mworthan?
  12. Thanx Steve.
  13. I was looking through the singer 111w's instructions manual and saw that the needle system or catalogue is different in the 154 and the 155. The 155 is 135×17 and uses up too needle size 24. The154 is 126×11 and uses needle sizes such as 25 and 27. So does this mean that I can put thicker thread on the 154. Can someone explain the difference of 135×17 and 126×11 is one longer or thicker than the other? I googled the #s and got nothing.I will try to continue my research on this topic but any help is very very much appreciated.
  14. I didn't realize that it was the shape of a horse until I saw it twice. Very nice. What type of sewing machine did you use and what size thread?
  15. That's a nice story and a nice gift .
  16. Thanx for the info. I will try to call this weekend hoping to solve my run away singer lol.
  17. Hello everyone I currently purchased 2 111w155s with table and motors. One table is bigger than the other, as are the motors. I still haven't seen the difference , since I still have it on my truck and haven't unloaded the table. I also purchased a 111w154 head only. I think that I want to keep only one 111w155 and the 111w154 (still dont know)just because the instructions manual says that you can put size 25 and 27 needles on the 111w154(is it really true). And the 155 says that the biggest is 24. Anyway they're all too fast for what I need them. I only sew about 1/4 in thick belts and maybe some stirrups, headstalls etc. What would be the best set up for these 111w's as far as servos,DC servos ,speed reducers, pulleys, bands, what ever is out there.I live near LA in California.

    Singer 111W155

How much are you asking for it. Assuming you still have it. How much are you asking for it. Assuming you still have it.
  19. Thanks everyone
  20. Hi my name is art . I just bought this singer 111w155, and I have an opportunity to get the 111w154 head only for $100.which would be a better machine for me. I'm currently sewing belts (1/4 inch and less)with a singer 66 on 69 thread a lot of people seem to be satisfied with the thread size but I want it to be at least 135 or higher. also between the 111w's and the 211g165 which would be the better machine or what else is out there????????
