I have not done this but, I am a good dreamer. What I would do is measure the Dia. of the steering wheel multiply by pie ( 3.14 ) that will give you a true circumference of the wheel. Now measure the thickness of the steering wheel. Do the same. Dia. x3.14. That will give you the circumference of the thickness of the wheel. now take a piece of upholstery leather, cut to those measurements an glue a strip of 3/4 oz suede onto your upholstery the same width. take an put in eyelets every 1 1/4" along both sides. Lace to the steering wheel. This will give you good thick grip. Dan

I am fairly new. But what I di is mix 50/50 an apply very thin coats with a damp sponge. let dry between coats, apply as any coats as you desire to get the sheen you are looking for. As Renee said buff the crap out of dye piece before appling

Thats what I did was, sew the loop on first but, it would get caught on the throat plate am screw the stitching up

I have a cowboy 4500, an It would not work to sew with the case face side down,even if you could, you would not because the bobbin stitch never look as god as a to top stitch. As far a inviting, I thought abut t but I think you would marr the front of the case by pounding on it.

Here is a piece I was messing around with. Don't look at the stitching I as just figuring things out but the problem is on the first try is the belt loop kept hanging up on the machine how am I going to put a belt loop on this ?

I am trying to make a phone case with herman oak molded, an the problem I am running into is, how to attatch the belt loop on the back. I tried to sew it on befor I sew the case itself, But it gets hung up on the sewing machine an messes up the stitching. How can I attach the loop. Thanks Dan

I need information on where to get a needle for lacing. I have some 1/8" Kangaroo lace an, I'm trying to lace a project an , nothing is working. I have those needles you are suppose to screw the lace in, their not working. I have used those split needles in the past an I know there re junk. I am new to leatherwork so, my knowledge is very minimal. I just received a tub of Montana Pitch Blend today.( leather Dressing) I have been reading here an, it seems to be highly recommended for conditioning leather. What I'm wondering is, what is the best. I read that MPB is the best, Leather Honey is the best. Leather Milk is the best. I would like to know from people with more experience. What works the best and why in their opinion their choice is the best. Thank you all Dan

I have been trying figure out how to get a good burnished edge on a belt. Let me explain : I am wanting to make a belt with two 6/7 oz pieces of herman oak sewed together I am setting spot on the front strap an then gluing an sewing on the back strap so you don't see the prongs. The problem there is I cant get a good burnished edge being that I had to dye the front strap before setting spots. How can I get a good burnised edge. Or how can I do it differently ? . I can get a good burnish on raw leather but after dyeing I can't . HELP!!! Thank you Dan

They need to be steam cleaned. That is no promise but, more than likely that will take care of it
