I have a pattern, I need to learn more on sewing. I have a Cowboy 4500 an I am also wondering if they make a hem plate for this machine . As to hem around edges.
I am not sure I am posting in the right forum but, I am interested in making vest and looking for a good tutorial on pattern making and the art of sewing vest. Does anyone know of a good place to get me going. Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thank you all in advance
I love it. Will have to make one. I was thinking of using harness leather for the seat. What weight leather would you all use, would have to support 250lbs.
Thanks for the pattern
I have never stamped any brass or stainless ID tags before an was wondering if anyone can lead me in the right direction as how this is done, Do they sell a machine that will emboss them ? The kind of ID tags you attach to the leather on a collar.
I was just thinking, could you thin the acrylic with linseed oil to make it absorb into the leather more an keep it more flexible?
Please if you have any experience with acrylic, Help, I am in the dark here.
I am using acrylic dye/paint on natural strap leather from weaver, its white acrylic. After it dries an you flex the leather, the acrylic cracks. Is there way to stop this ?
I use seam tape, and keep zipper tight when sticking down, then machine sew. I put on one side of zipper on at a time. The trick is, when putting your zipper together, ( zipper pull ) make sure you teeth are lined up.
I have been making belts an I am having a problem getting my stitching groove deep enough to bury size 346 thread. What in your opinion is the best tool to use for making your groove ?
Thank you in advance

I use a pair of horse hoof trimming nippers, Leave 1/8th to 3/16 post above the leather, a 20 oz hammer.Use the concave setter, hit it twice and I'm good
