Montana Pitch Blend As An Edge Treatment?
wlg190861 replied to Basically Bob's topic in How Do I Do That?
I am wondering, I want to make belts with a padded liners. Know the way I would go about this is cot the cut the strap and punch holes bevel front of strap crease edges dye belt apply adding on back clue on lining sew edges no here is where I have a problem,I cut the liner ever with edge of belt but I cant seem to get a beveller to cut a the back with the liner. Do I need to sand a bevel on the back or what? then burnish. I bought some Montana Pitch Blend today ( see I'm learning a little Can someone steer me in the right direction. Dan -
I've tried tooling, not very good, too shaky. But what I think works well is like bob said, use very little water and but it in a vacuum bag over night

Love the belt, it looks great but I really like the thicker thread. I think you will like it after you try 346 Dan know I did few leather projects 30 some years ago but they were little moc kits and cheap belts, nothing like this. So all this is new to me.
