I have a 10 inch wide Chase pattern splitter that I’m selling. Bought it from Bruce a few years ago for $550 plus shipping. Asking $400 plus shipping. Located near Portland OR. Pickup welcome. More photos/videos of it in action - https://imgur.com/a/wyjzTPJ

I’ll buy the lot if you ship it. I’ll pay for shipping cost to OR 97062. Pm me or email me at tossik@gmail.com

Thanks for all the replies! I will be able to take a look at them both in about a week or two (the seller is traveling at the moment). If all goes well, I might pick up the newer one. Hopefully it will serve me well as a medium duty machine before I pick up a 441 close or such...

So if it is a 4 way then it is a good purchase at $800 or should I pass and get something else? which of the two is a better bet?

I have a chance to pickup one of these Pfaff 335 machines locally for $800 for one. Are these any good for leather/canvas work? I currently have a Juki DNU-241HS flatbed, and I am also in the market for a heavy duty 441 clone or similar. Will this machine be a good middle duty machine? I mainly do small wallet/accessories and will be expanding into bags/satchels more once i get a 441 type machine. Anyone have any experience with either of these, where they can recommend one or the other? PFAFF 335-901-1935-002/005 Pfaff 335-G-H3

Few pictures of the machine. Happy to send video of it working also

$480 for a stick?! What are they on! I mean yeah it looks cool but seriously? and all the extra tips are like $90 each. Like others have mentioned, I can get a lot of other fun toys that justify their cost. Thanks for the tips on the glue used there though. I want a thin alternative to the weldwood I use now. -

Interesting, never thought about thinning contact cement. I will have to give it a shot. Thanks! -

Any ideas on the glue used for the strap? looks very watered down. I like that as I have only contact cement and sometimes it is just too thick. -

I saw those on ebay as well, but the one in the video looks very neat. Hoping someone recognizes it -
Take a look at this video, the maker is using an interesting rotary edge paint applicator, any ideas where I can find one? Also, what glue do you guys think he is using? Looks very fluid, and I am looking for something strong yet watery. Thanks!

Made my first Japanese wallet over the weekend and wanted to share the final product with everyone. Around 70% of this wallet was hand stitched using saddle stitching with .6mm tan tiger thread. Parts of the inside were stitched using a sewing machine. This wallet has 6 card compartments, 3 bill compartments and a coin pocket. I have used a number of different high quality leathers for this project, including: - Natural Horween Chromexcel Horse Butt for the front cover. This will age and darken beautifuly with use. - Alligator Skin Aged Brown for the front accent and chain holder - Natural Tan Pigskin - Inside wallet lining - Full-grain Hermann Oak Vegetable Tanned leather - Inside components - YKK brass zipper - Indian Head Concho As this was my first (big) wallet I have ever done, so for me the project took around 3-4 hours or templating and around 12 hours to make. Edges of the leather were left untreated (sanded only) per request. Hope you guys like it

That's an awesome piece! Did you make the metal hardware?

I have been looking for a Fortuna Bell Skiver for some time with no luck here in the states, and have looked at them on Alibaba and they have a ton of them coming from China. Average price for skiver is $600-1200 depending on model plus around $200 to ship it to states. I also found sewing machines and 20 ton presses for below average prices so it is tempting. Has anyone had any experience with them or someone similar that would export from there?
