    Thanks Monica. The zipper pull is leather.....I couldn't' decide whether or not to stitch it, and if I'm honest it still nags at me every time I look at it. I'll likely stitch it up in the next few weeks one I get a few spare moments.

    Well, I finally grew tired of using my substandard edge creaser. I thought of shelling out for the Vergez Blanchard model, but just couldn't part with the cash so I decided to make my own. Solid brass construction with beech wood insert. Threaded brass rivets hold it together and knurled brass knob for adjusting the width. Works like a charm and feels miles better that my old "Tandy" creaser.

    Well, I've been tired of using an inferior edge creaser and can't bring myself to splurge on the Vergez Blanchard model, so I've decided to make my own.... Pretty simple solid brass and beech wood design with a knurled thumb screw for adjustment. Works like a charm.

    This is my latest bag. It's been about a year in the making as I had to put it aside for client orders. Finally took the time to finish the handles and put it all together. Fully turned briefcase with English suit wool accents. Entirely hand stitched as always. I made the handles out of solid brass and wrapped them with leather for comfort. One exterior pocket on the gusset for pens and such and one on the body for a phone or a pair of gloves. I had thought about building it with piping, but I'm glad I didn't on this one. I like that it's clean and understated. Comments and critiques welcome.

    Thanks 9tpi. That very hight praise. I've used this handle just once before and I really like the way it works. I'm all about trying to work smart and finding the most efficient way to solve a problem. I have a few other structural designs in the works that I'll post up here when I've finished them.

    I currently use Lightroom. I know that you're not an Adobe fan, but Lightroom can batch resize, rename, add a watermark and save to a folder of your choice all with a couple of clicks. It's the only program I use to archive and edit my photos (unless I need some drastic alterations that require photoshop).

    Thanks David L. I have made cases before with thinner gussets and more traditional three piece cases, but I hadn't thought of folding the gusset a cm before the stitched edge. Great idea! Thanks so much for the tips.

    Just delivered this last week. Very happy customer. I make all of the handles and buckles myself from hardwood and brass. This one has an American walnut and maple handle, matching buckle on the bag and strap. It's completely lined in Italian mens suit wool and has removable three pocket insert so you can use the briefcase as an overnighter if you wanted. Completely hand stitched too. I'm always trying to improve my briefcases, and my leatherwork in general, so thoughts, criticisms and encouragements welcome.
