  3. no I have done several more...you have to be able to shorten ..the length is 160...from there you can make most lengths easily..and have room for large wrists.. average is 120/75...

  8. I have a techsew 2750pro for the stitching and I have dies for my straps that I designed and a hand operated clicker. With tapered straps it's the only way to go! The buckles are from eBay and I have some but the source ran out after I bought a lot of them. Thanks Greg
  9. Here is one http://i1161.photobucket.com/albums/q512/gregspitz/Mobile%20Uploads/EF4471F8-897E-4466-88F8-923B7F5098A6.jpg

  11. I have the 2750pro and could not be happier...great machine and the support is great I get great reviews on my watch straps and wallets from my customers about the stitching especially.. Contact Ron at Techsew and he can answer all your questions...
  12. I have the 2750pro and love it...just give yourself time to get used to it..enjoy the break in period...
  13. I make watch straps and wallets...but these are popular for high end watches as well.. any ideas on how much to sell them for??? the reason the snap is on that strip of leather is so no hardware scratches the watch inside..I know there are other ways to do it...but this was easy and different
  14. The dies just cut out the straps. The other work skiving gluing sewing and punching holes are done separate with sewing machine or hand sewing and hand tools. There are many videos on YouTube making watch straps. (Not my videos)
  15. Thanks so much. I guess I was thinking it was more complicated! Have a great night!
  16. How would you tie the knot? Just a square knot ? So sorry I am new to hand sewing except for skin, intestines, arteries and veins as I am a vascular surgeon. New to the leather thing and only doing this for a year or so. Good thing is the leather does not need anesthesia! Thanks for your patience and answers.
  17. sorry if I am not clear...how do you suppose the knot should be made..?. thanks
  18. usually I have seen the knot is tightened in the hole with one thread front and one thread back..then trim those and the knot shows a little in the back ..use a lighter to seal the short threads???
  19. I have done this a few ways 1 needle and 2 needle and 2 knots and 1 knot etc...but this "store bought" strap has hidden the knot so well I wonder if anyone has a how to on this simple stitch and know method..thanks here are some pictures..
  20. Thanks for the guidance. Here are a few of my straps http://i1161.photobucket.com/albums/q512/gregspitz/Mobile%20Uploads/7D6C1EB0-76A0-4FAB-BF17-3F46CF18E0F0.jpg
