  2. Hey Y'all, Well, I guess I still gotta a bit of redneck left in us cause we thought this was funny. I'm assuming most everyone has heard the song "Jesus, take the Wheel". "Cletus Take the Wheel" Enjoy! TJ
  3. I hear ya Tina. I have Publisher, corel, etc on my computer in NC but not the one I'm using here in TN right now. Thanks again! TJ
  4. SmokinP, your site looks good. TJ
  5. Cool Tina...this the basic design for sure. It gives me something to work with. Thanks much! TJ
  6. I'm not on my computer FH. Mine is in NC right now so I'm on a loaner. I found this attached picture "somewhere" (but don't remember where) so maybe I shouldn't post it here. If not somebody please tell me. but this is general idea that I'm going for except I'm looking for some color (vibrant) with. I can't tell if this is an infinity or just 2 circles and not really into the two dragonflys on it either...seems a bit much...IDK) I'm going to have it done just under the back of my neck across my shoulder. I don't know HOW/if it can be worked in this design but I want the infinity to look like a "fire ring" (Yeah, i know how it sounds but it's what I'm seeing in my mind) with a fancy thing going on to keep on the "girly" side LOL. Man...it's hard to describe what I can see in my mind. Anyway have at it and see what you can do... Peace, TJ
  7. Well...tattoo that is :angel_not: . I see y'all mention this often and since I figure someone might can help me here...I've been looking for a really cool dragonfly on the infintiy sign and have just about exhausted my resourses. I've been looking for several months. If you have any ideas links, please share. If I need to move or delete this post...no problem. TIA, TJ
  8. I have some sites I've been referred promote sites and will try to post them later. Here's one: http://mightyrhema.qassia.com/ This is mine but as you can see I haven't added a website yet. Check it out and see if you're interested. TJ
  9. Hi, I'm aquainted with the owner of this site Front Range . It is not a "leather" related site but was built with a free service. Scroll down to the bottom to the page and click on the "Office Live" link. The site looks pretty good and just wanted you to see what could be done for free. Not real fancy but certainly serves the purpose. I'm thinking of using this service myself for some crafts I make.
  10. I don't know what in the world I did here but my replies look really weird. Maybe it just looks that way to me. Anyway, Hidemechanic thanks so much for the info. I believe we can do that. Peace, TJ
  11. Hey Luke...that dog might hunt. We'll see. Do you have a shop or work from home? We're not too far from you.Peace,TJ

  15. Where can we purchase decoratives snaps? Thanks!
  16. Thanks everyone. Indy, is there a reason for asking for a textured material vs smooth?
  17. Y'all, We are presently near Nashville, TN but are originally from NC. Smith was a plumber for many years but due to an injury had to chnage. He enjoys reading, leatherwork, and loves fishing, etc. I am into , creative writing, design, photography, (althought I don't exactly look like this when drumming...LOL...then again Smith said I looked like Pebbles the other day when I tried to put my short hair up in a hairband on the top of my head soooo...) and now leatherwork...LOL...I guess God wasn't kidding when He said "and two shall become one" huh :D We've been together for 30 yrs. and are still in . Have one daughter/SIL and a couple "grandpuppies"...Anyway, Smith is having a great time with this new found craft and I'm happy for him and enjoying it with him. The most important thing we've learned over the past couple years is :scared: because God always has a plan B . Having been a person used to working everyday and then suddenly not being able to do what you know has been quite a challenge and picking up the leather again (he used to do some braiding in his 20's but didn't pursue it) has put a new spark in his eye. So, we'll just see where this wave takes us....I know it'll be good!
  18. OK, if this is not the place to post all our "newbie" questions, please redirect me . What is the best material to use for a cutting area? We tried a few things that did NOT work...LOL. Thanks, Smith & TJ
