  1. That's a nice looking belt. What do you use to line belts?
  2. Art it was single layer. I asked how she wanted it and she didn't want lined for some reason. And wanted a single layer so it would hang nicely {as she put it}. She wanted it for an upcoming halter class. The Judge even complimented her on her halter. Made me feel great! What do you line them with?
  3. Welcome Bree. This is a great group of people here. I'm sure you'll love it! I've learned a few things since I joined. This is an amazing place to be sure.
  4. I made this halter for a friend a few years ago. This is my Mare modeling it as she wanted a pic emailed to her with her wearing it. It's black so doesn't really go with my girl I don't think anyway.
  5. Thanks so much guys. I ordered a couple of bottles in different colors to try out. I really appreciate you helping me find these.
  6. I took a look but there's no way to contact them. Hmmm...
  7. I either need to find some pink {blue would be good too} leather dye or let me know how to mix the fiebing's leather dye to make at least the pink? Thankyou..
  8. He sure was Art. His Mother lead the horse on a lead rope tied to the horn of her saddle and I rode on the other side to make sure all went well. It did and we were all so happy about it. Thankyou, I ran out of diamonds making this. I am needing more but have to have stainless steel ones. Know anywhere that has them, bwsides weaver? I get most of my stuff from weaver but am rethinking alot of things now that I joined here. I ordered a couple of things off of the studs & spike site that you or someone posted. Such good prices, but are the steel things there stainless steel? I need to ask them.
  9. A Friend of mine needed one to match the Vintage Parade Saddle her Uncle gave her for her Son. The one on the left. This is how she wanted it and although I had never taken on such a project I think it turned out ok. Everyone loved it. I always use a breast collar that just goes straight across like this. I'm not fond of the ones that have the strap between the legs as I have had a horse get rubbed raw on a long trail ride in the past. I don't have trouble with this type. Her Son is Autistic and was so proud to be in the parade with us. She told him before hand what it was all about, so he saluted for the pic. It fit this smaller arab just fine. Fun was had by all! Maybe sometime I'll show a pic of my mare & I in the parade, but I'm abit shy. Lol..
  10. Thanks grunt. I have made a few belts and used decorative rapid rivets. I have regular and decorative chicago screws thought so may try that. I mostly make dog collars {spike or whatever someone wants} & horse tack. I'll have to post a pic of the parade breast collar I made to match a friend's vintage parade saddle. I'll put it in the show your work off section I guess. I also re-fleeced that saddle with real shearling golden fleece. I had never done that before and although it wasn't perfect, it worked well. Watch for the pic. Her son is about 9 I think and autistic. He was so proud to be in the parade with us.
  11. You did a fine job on this. Are the 2 screws through by the keeper chicago screws? I know that's most likely a dumb question but was making sure.

I saw this place on ebay but not sure how good they are. I was going to come here and ask. Anyone know if this is a half way good stamp. He has a couple of auctions {buy it now} for different ones. http://cgi.ebay.com/Personalized-leather-m...1QQcmdZViewItem
  16. Sorry art. I didn't see that you had replied here. On the tag on this it is stamped 108WSV37 so possibly 108W37? I was told this is like the 108U, a newer version of this? I got sick again after the crash and didn't get back here. So haven't done anything about even getting this going. I still need to get a motor, decide what belt goes with it, etc. It has a tiny belt area. How will I work it in conjubtion with the wheel on the motor? I'm abit new to having to find this all myself. I normally buy the machine with everything with them. Here it is.
  17. Ok Elton. Glad you found what you wanted.By the way, I have never used one of the french ones. How does that work and what kind of edge does it leave?
  18. Thankyou for all the ideas. I may get the one at weavers as I'm going down there soon for some more leather. If anyone knows anything about the econ. one there being bad please let me know. That's all I need, for strap material, etc.
  19. I saw some yesterday on ebay. Not sure if they were what you want, but saw some.
  20. Thanks guys, I'll check.
  21. Thanks RDB. I know about weavers but am hoping someone will have a used one they don't use anymore and pay abit less. Like everyone I have to watch my pennies.
  22. I would like to find a used one that is accurate for a good price. Thankyou.
  23. I am needing a used rein rounder reasonably priced. Thanks.
