  1. Thanks! Thank you! It's just a coat of Fiebings Resolene. It will surely get darker over time due to sunlight exposure. Do you coat it with something else?
  2. My second iteration for this bag, this time bought by somebody on etsy, the first was a gift for a friend. 2mm italian veg tan for body, 4 mm for strap. Turquoise dye from Fiebings for bodyand Angelus paints for the wave.
  3. Thanks! as others said, it's about 8-9 spi Thanks Thanks! it looks a lot better thank you!
  4. Made another variant for my cherry blossom wallet, this one is nicer I think. The stitching is at 3 mm spacing and the closure is a bit more delicate.
  5. Hello, Good work, keep going. For carving/tooling you need the swivel knife and stamps https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Fashion-20-Pieces-Set-Leather-Working-Saddle-Making-Tools-Carving-Leather-Craft-Stamps/32891105624.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.1.4fce8f9bTxVzD0&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_3_10065_10068_318_319_317_10696_10084_10083_10618_452_10304_10307_10820_532_10301_10821_204_328_10059_10884_323_10887_100031_320_321_322_10103,searchweb201603_55,ppcSwitch_0&algo_expid=b418e699-b1c3-4ef5-be60-09aa7c18cebd-0&algo_pvid=b418e699-b1c3-4ef5-be60-09aa7c18cebd
  6. It's a bit large but it fits fairly well. In my country we have huge identity cards, 105 x 75 mm, and this was designed to fit it under the card pockets. Thanks!
  7. Thanks! I find lots of inspiration and ideas following many leather workers on Instagram.
  8. Thanks! I only have the Tandy stamps, I would need some smaller stamps and an appropriate modeling spoon for the finer details.
  9. thank you! i like this design best, from all the other types I've done
  10. Thanks again! I use a pricking iron to make the holes, from Wuta Leather, a Chinese company which makes some nice quality tools for a decent price.
  11. Yes, thanks for the suggestion, you are right, it would have looked much better. I have to make a similar one soon, I will do this then
  12. Let's see if I can explain... The flap is separate, stitched to the main interior piece The body of the pouch is stitched to the main on the outside only, the side with the flap is not stitched as you can see. The gussets are stitched on either side of the cut, in the interior of the pocket. Due to the size the flap is cut it does not permit the coins to fall out. I'm not sure I clearly explained, it's a bit difficult. It's only my 2nd time doing it this way. Next time I do one, I will try to take step by step pictures. It took me a while to figure this one out, I found no instructions.
