  1. Hello! This is my latest work for which you can get the pattern here.
  2. I started designing leather bags a few months ago and I'm selling the patterns on Etsy if anyone is interested. I giving shape to my ideas but I'd also like to know what patterns interest you guys, in hope that I can be of help.
  3. Thank you! The bag in the last picture is what she fancied but I wanted to make something unique for her as well. She also wanted it to be a bit smaller as she's smaller in stature and it wouldn't fit her as much.
  4. Thank you most kindly! She was very impressed actually as she was expecting the same bag I made for my mom which she fancied a lot.
  5. This is my latest work, a handbag for my girl's mom. The poor thing was carrying a cheap leather substitute bag and seeing what I do, she asked if I can make one for her. The bag is hand stitched, made using black pressed leather, veg tan for the upper and lower parts and a chrome crust leather for the cognac parts. I made it to close with a zipper and have 2 interior pockets of different sizes. There is also a pattern available in my shop if anyone is interested.
  6. Thank you guys! It is designed and made by myself. The design part was quite painful but the leather working part makes up for the pain
  7. Yeah I agree, the rivets are too large. I also made a stitched one but it's a really tricky task sewing those corners on the inside. Perhaps bent needles would help
  8. Good day! I'd like to share another pattern with you in hope that you'll find it useful
  9. Hello! This is another backpack I made for my girl, you know ladies, they can't get enough of them. I was playing Metroid for two weeks ago and somehow after I finished this I found that the angles of the bag look a bit like Captain Samus's mask. The inspiration might have been unconscious or it may have been something else. Nonetheless here it is
  10. Thank you! The pattern is indeed selling well, but I'm not making another one any time soon :D
  11. Thanks, I really appreciate your comments
  12. I could do that, thanks. I'll just wait a bit more and see if Etsy is actually worth it
  13. I’ll keep that in mind . Sorry for the last comment, I might have sent it twice
  14. Why sir, you are a life saver. I do code but that site is not made by me, however the domain is mine. I didn’t know about prestashop but now that I do I’ll get into it. By ‘standalone’ I meant a website over which I have absolute control. This one is automatically generated by a function called Pattern on Etsy and it takes but a click to make though you have no control over its source code. I looked for a similar solution in January but I could only find Shopify as an alternative and that is a similar option to what Etsy provides with Pattern.
  15. I’m really not happy with Etsy but the website is powered by them at the moment. I linked to both the shop and the website as I don’t get a lot of traffic from neither yet, being new to the market and all. I hope in the future for the webpage to become less dependent on Etsy and perhaps I will make a standalone website for that domain. As for now I think it helps with the SEO to leave it as it is. I appreciate your advice nonetheless
  16. Good day! I've been loitering about this nice community for quite a while but I only today found the introductions section. My name is Marius and I'm from Romania. I've been working with leather for the past 4-5 years and have been enjoying it so much as to say that these might end up being the best years of my life, a sentiment I'm sure to be sharing with many of you involved with leather crafting. Several endeavors appealed to me during my years and I found, constructions, woodworking, coding and even being a cinema projectionst being fun and worthwhile activities while leather working to crown them all. I'm very glad making your acquaintance and hope for pleasant future conversations with as many of you. You may find some of my works at leatherhubpatterns.etsy.com. Thanks for having me!
  17. That's a very good advice I will be sure to follow. Thank you very much sir!
  18. Thank you for the purchase sir! I think I might have recognized you from your location :). If you have any trouble with the pattern please don't spare me any questions. It's a shame really because the community is made of people who just want to learn and connect. A lot of people looking for patterns and they won't allow a link because the pattern actually costs some petty cash. It is also expected of you to describe your pattern in a comment. It could work for bracelets and coin purses but not for 20+ page patterns.
  19. I really appreciate your well disposition and help sir. I come with a bad experience from Reddit where I thought I’d be helping by posting and mentioning my shop with their predefined ‘Pattern’ flair. After about two tedious hours of politely arguing with the mods who seemed absolutely unreasonable, I ended up with a ban. I mainly post on Facebook where group admins encourage self promoting and I naively thought that every community moderators would act in the same manner. I’m very glad to find that people here are welcoming and supporting.
  20. Thank you, I really appreciate your nice words! I don't have the time for commissions even though I couldn't avoid two orders for the tote bag. I was to vain and made the imprudence to post it on my wallets page and two ladies jumped me lol. As for making patterns, a friend actually got me into this and I took it as a challenge. He since then dropped out and I caught the taste for it. I would be very grateful and content if people would sell what they make using these patterns although that remains to be seen I guess. Sorry you had to distinguish the website from the watermark but I don't know the rules of the community and I wouldn't want to look like I'm spamming so I didn't post a link to it.
