Hi guys, when you design a new holster pattern and are ready to build the first prototype what are you using leather wise? I have always used what I have laying around but I noticed if it’s not the correct weight leather it throws of the stichlines. I have read some people use bellies of foam what’s the best way to go?

Can any one explain the different types of edgers? I have seen the following straight edgers round edgers cowboy edgers bisonet edgers common edgers French edgers I need an edger that will work with 7/8 and 6/7 that will cut tight curves and make my edges round. any advice ?

Hi guys, I am planning a Avenger style built using shark accents. The holster body will be made out of 7/8 oz leather. I plan on using the shark skin as accent. My question is what weight should I use to glue the shark skin to. It will be a one piece collor and belt loop piece. I was thinkng 6/7. do you think this is too thick with the shark glued to it?
