  1. Hi Joel, The Rosewood one pictured above, is a 22oz Maul. I may be able to stretch it to 24oz,,, maybe. Once the weight gets to 20oz, I go from a 1/2" Stainless center shaft, to a 5/8" shaft. I also make the striking head about 1/4" bigger around. With the extra weight, I don't feel that a 1/2" shaft would be strng enough. But then again I tend to make things stronger than they actually need to be. Thanks for your interest. Ed the"BearMan"
  2. Hi Ritch, How much are you asking for the edgers? Maybe we can work out a trade? Rather than you having to save up,,, might be good for both of us. I especially like the one on the far right. Ed the"BearMan"
  3. Hi Everybody, I hope Everybody had a Wonderful Christmas! Here are some of the Mauls I made before Christmas. Some of these, I knew were going to be Christmas presents, so I held off posting pictures of them. The types of woods that the people wanted, were all beautiful,,,pictures just don't seem to do them justice. I'm sure everybody that recieved one could say more. I guess I'm kind of like the Shoemakers Son,,,my personal mauls are rather boring,,, maybe it's time to make something like some of these for myself,,, hehehe Take Care,,, & Thanks Again! Ed the"BearMan"
  4. Hi Everybody, First off,,, Thanks Bruce & Josh for the wonderful compliments! I do try to make each & every maul something special. I got a 6" x 48" power sander, & an air compressor. But the best present was my Son spending Christmas to New Year with us. Thanks Again,,, Ed the"BearMan"
  5. Hi Everybody, Thanks,,, I am Very proud of Him. I believe he will be setting up his own little Leather Shop in the not too distant future. He lives in Panama City. Thanks Again,,, Ed the"BearMan"
  6. Here are the rest of the pictures
  7. Hi Everybody, Here are the projects my Son made, while here on vacation. He did between 80% & 95% of all the work himself. The designs are pretty much all his designs. I believe he learned a lot about pattern making, layout, & completing the projects. The knife scabbard, with the Elephant inlay, is for one of his friends, that needs it on his left side, even though he is right handed. So that's why it's a cross draw design. The spiked collar is for another friends small dog,,, to help protect it from coyotes. The other collar is for my Son's chocolate Lab. The "Bandoleer" Guitar strap, is for another one of his friends, who is heavy into firearms. The tooled Guitar strap is one I made for my Son about a year ago. The Holster & belt combo, has a large Elephant inlay, on the holster, and clip case. The edge is just a little over 3/4" wide, with a full welt inside, holding the pistol snuggly inside. Needless to say,,,, I am Very proud of my Son, in what he was able top accomplish, during the past 8 days!! Ed the"BearMan"
  8. That looks good!! But of course,,, I'm partial to Bears!! hehehe Ed the"BearMan"
  9. Hi Everybody, A couple days ago, I ordered some Elephant & Ostrich "Scraps" from Kevin at Springfield Leather. I got them in today, & I am Extreamly Pleased!! I really hate calling them scraps, as there are very good,,, good size "Scraps" in there. If Anybody is needing,,, wanting,,, or just thinking about getting some Ostrich, elephant, snake, fish, or other skins "Scraps", for inlays or whatever, I'd call Kevin at Springfield Leather. As soon as it looks like I'm getting low,,, I will be ordering again! Just as a disclaimer,,, I am in no-way associated with Kevin or Springfield Leather. Their ph #'s are: 417-881-4953 or 800-668-8518 Merry Christmas,,, wishing you all,,, all the best,,, Ed the"BearMan"
