airbrush

About nine years ago I got this Badger 150 with 3 heads to it, fine, medium, large. I have used it for spraying my first coat of super sheen on my projects. I have used it to spray a few projects but I would like to get one that does finer and add that to my shop. I am far from a pro at using this.. I could use a lot of lessons on how to use one but I do enjoy using it and it will give a nice coat without any brush marks. Enjoying this thread. -
That is so nice. Great work.

I am an older guy, 60 years old. I have worked with leather for almost 40 years and during those years I remodeled 2 homes and finished a basement in another home. I have been where your at... at times no money... other times I was to busy with the family..or working on the house. Sometimes I would start a project and get burn't out on it so covered it in a cloth and put it away. One time I had like four items I started and didn't finish. One day I decided to grab one of the old ones and totally enjoyed it. So, to answer your question ... yes it will pass and you will see something that will grab your attention and away you'll go. Take a break but don't leave your hobby... If your like me its in your blood. I'll be watching for more work from you to see what great ideas you come with.

Holster heading out
LarryB replied to SouthernHolsters's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Very nice. Really like the style and pattern. -
I use water, a little lexol and a small pinch of saddle soap. I have all this in a small crock pot and turn it on to warm it up and apply it then shut it down. It sits there for a long time but I do not keep the sponge in the water it sits on top of the lid. Mine never turns green or grey other than from using it and I change it out to keep a clean misture. I have never used the eco-flo easy-carve in my water so I can't tell you anything about it, sorry.

Thanks Kevin for the tutorial, it will be helpful for me. Very kind of you to post. -
Oh ok, thanks for the information.

Ace Hardware carries it here, but in the small container. If you have a ace near you maybe they can order larger containers of it.

Wish he would have a class in St Louis, MO. The price is well worth it. He does great work.

Very nice.... The chemo is really some rough treatment, my wife had to go threw it. I hope he does as well as my wife. The spider will get him talking, for sure lol -
Thanks, I'll have to still check out the dept then. That way I can get my blades for them.

My name is Larry Bruhn. I am 60yrs old, live near St Louis, MO... Wood River, IL across the river from st louis. Been married for 36 years, boy and girl and five grand kids. Worked with leather for about fourty years... but remember, I also had to raise a family so the fourty years were not totally dedicated to leather. I am always learning something from reading what others post. So keep posting.. Guess I'll stop there, my coffee cup is empty. lol

Both Elnino and ClayB are correct. I own the tandy because thats what I started with and I could not afford the nicer tools. However Elnino is right about also supporting the small shops. USA forgot about the small business owners many years ago. The cost of the finer tools are well worth it. I have seen what the end results of better tools looks like and its impressive. Thank you both for good posts.

That is so nice. Great work.

Wow, I feel out of place... but here it goes. All my tools came from tandy except for one and it came from S-T leather. Nothing flashy here.
