Update 1/4/11

I've had a partial fix for the electrical issues completed, hopefully it will be enough to let me work. The new shop is nearly complete and ready to use, hopefully I'll be turning again within the month. Once I'm back making burnishers I'll have a big update on here as well as a post in the forums, with updated burnisher info and prices. Thanks for everyone's continued interest!

Cocobolo is a beautiful dense oily wood in the rosewood genus (Dalbergia) which works very well for edge burnishing. Standard burnishers are approximately 5.5" long and 7/8" in diameter. They have a 3/8" machined steel drill rod shaft that runs the full length of the burnisher to provide precise support and superior rigidity. Cocobolo buffs to a high polish, so there is no need for a finish that could wear or transfer to your leather.

Standard burnishers come with 4 coves (7/16",11/32", 1/4", 5/32"), I can vary the size of the coves to match the size of your work, just let me know what you need.

I can also make the larger size coves with flat bottoms for stacked and sanded edges with flat sides.

I can add additional coves for $4 each.
