    Stamp Rack

hey bree really neat rack,i did mine by color coordinating my tools ,bevelers blue, background black etc etcmakes it easy for me to locate a tool.adios peteoops sorry art your rack is neat too adios peter john
  20. i'm too old n decrepid to take inspiration,my shop is 25 x150 and my work space remains about 5 sq ft.i lose a tool ,i go looking for someother tool and i find the missing one.once i found a two year old order, customer said he expected to wait tho.i'm ashamed, but i'd like to share a tidy trick with you bruce ,my carving tools are in a angled block of wood 8 x 20 inchs,i divided them up into an order backgrounders etc etc allocated them a space on the board top to bottom.then i painted the space eg ;backgrounders blue, bevelers green and so forth,i painted handles also to correspond.i reckon it simplifies finding a tool a bit, anyhoo anyone know about patents.enjoy your good posts n work amigo hoo roo, peter john
  21. what i've ended up doing is tap spots into a piece of skirting belly thru your work, first, do several peel work out of lea, flip it over studs down on skirt'n' bend prongs into each other one prong allway down, then other, then one last tap with hammer not too hard or you might collapse stud it gets easy after awhile.adios peter john
  22. Harvey Los Angeles harv, i have done this several times, easy, just get a seeder or a tool with a domed circular surface and go to hammering the surface, when finished ,paint your design on finish ,antique wotever looks good n sure beats beading adios peter john
  23. g'day bruce,i've used a plough guage all my life for straps, but sometime past i've turned the wooden strap cutter about n made a pusher out of it ,a li'l tricky but it works, room for modification i think but cheaper than a plough adios peter john
  24. i'm assuming the strap guage is the wooden tandy pull type with the razor blade.i've turn;d the guage blade around n made a pusher out of it ala plow guage type a li'l practise needed adios peter john
