    bull ropes

all i know is they pull opposite the regular rope, the handle is pull'd across back to rope eye thus keeping a better position .the handle is closer to the loop when braided other than that alls th same peter john adios
  7. sorry in my rush to say g'day i didn't tell you much,a picture says a thousand words eh.the connector strap about 5-6inch,overlap on rings n buckle21/2 per turn. total waist is from buckle turn to 6 inches from belt tip,the last 6 being overage for future growth.the leather if to be used on a horse needs to be a oily flexible type not a firm veg tan, harness or latigo or red hide twould suffice.11/2 or 2 in wide not over.hoo roo n adios pete
  8. g'day erin n welcome to the site, ahm a texalian left oz at 23 yro n came to america been in tx ever since.dont give up yer day job ok.you'll get lots of info here i tell you.the belt is pretty easy, you could rivet the connector and straps no prob, the strap needs to be at least5 or 6 inch to work on a horse i think. i've made and used one 20 yrs back, hand stitching is fairly simple after you get the way of it i suggest visiting some good natured saddle or strap hand for a li'l advice good luck peter john

  17. i have not worked too much with the high density foam but will be from here on.years ago i did boot n shoe repair for a way to supplement my merging into making rodeo gear.i got to putting hush puppy soles on cowboy boots n heels, absolutely the most comfortable sole ever.10 years later the boot co's started doing it n still are.it seems to me fixin a problem basically is doin whatever,it takes to effectively overcome.some people wont pay into a huge bill for a custom tree, but would pay for modifications that work ,which is where you are now i think.foam might add heat to the back and smaller skirts might eliminate some of that,i see no reason why you couldnt rearrange bar angle with foam[good density].i have a world champion trainer riding a saddle with a forward double d and foam under skirt.he was an old rodeo'r a bb'er and he gave me a shot at makin one my way,he is very complimentary, has a pad that you can add inserts too, between the two he claims he's fitting everything.his horses are free'r and winning.i'm gonna build an aussie hy brid soon,i wont block skirts but will add an extra piece of leather under bars on my skirt ,then light plug edges and 1 in foam skirts.i believe the skirts were intended to be load bearing,i can be wrong, but i like to get clear of the scapula,on any breed, also helping people thru modification builds rapport etc adios peter john

  19. pella,i've got one in my shop almost identical, same conchos, same style as to shape dees, horn wrap the works.no makers stamp, leather is together ,well oil'd,beyond use tho ,am cleaning ,refleecing, repairing to liveing room standards to stand n be looked at by family.owner says it is a schoelkopf jumbo and in the 40's n 50's his father pulled a ton of bulls home from straying ,the tree is thick in bars th rigs are on the tree almost and altho outmoded is mucho stout.adios peter john

  22. g'day elton, like your work,i guess if your gonna back up your holes with nylon q,why not the buckle side too,i like seat belt nylon cause its thinner, use it in saddle rigs also,a li'l extra work but a better product eh.haven't made any gloves yet, i'd rather take a whippindesperation may drive me there soon .hoo roo peter john
