Any idea on how threading this thing may go? I'm currently looking for manuals. From comparing the image to the singer 27 it looks like the florence is missing a tension unit? Maybe it's internal. Who knows. I'm going to go check it out sometime this week. More info then!

My buddy has a Florence sewing machine, not entirely sure the mode because information is a bit limited. Something in the crown line. I did a bit of research and it seems to be newer than 1880's when the company came back. So onto the wild questions, think it can sew 2 layers of 3 oz leather with a leather point needle? (And what kind of needles am I looking at) Maybe too much to ask, and maybe a bit dirty if the machine is rare. Here is a picture from my buddy.

Patcher machines are always so neat looking, and can really get the job done. Amazing to see what youve done to clean it up and get it back in working order. Keep it up!

Hello there, I've come across a 111w155 for sale for 450$ Not sure of the condition. It claims to be in working order but looks a bit beat up. From what I've seen, people have just been sewing upholstery leather and thick fabric. I would need it to go through 2 layers of 5-6 ounce veg or a layer of 7-8 + a 2-3 ounce veg backing. Looking to do belts and maybe some wallets. Thats another thing. Is it a bit too beastly to handle small 2-3 ounce wallet sewing? I would be able to go try it out but its quite far, so I want to see if its worth the trip. Anything to look out for if I go test it out? All info is appreciated! Have a good one!
