Looking for a Ring's Blue Gun for a Sig Sauer P938. Please let me know if you have one that you'd like to sell.
-
Is this DVD set still available?
-
Did you mean Barry King or Don King?
-
I'll take the Barry King border stamp. I sent you a pm. Just reply to the pm with your Paypal address.
-
$30 is a very fair price for a high quality tool. Check around with the quality leather tool makers and you'll quickly find that the price of this tool is comparable.

I have both of the books mentiond and two or three others on floral layout and design. I'd say Sheridan Style Carving and Bob Park's book are my favorites. They both contain great information and great pictures to illustrate the things that are discussed.

All of these tools are now SOLD and have been shipped off to their new owners. PMs and emails have been sent with USPS delivery confirmation numbers for all of the packages.

Hi Rick, The edger is just $55 even, I'll cover the shipping cost. Bruce Johnson already committed to buy the #5 overstitcher though via PM but I'm just now getting to replys and updates to this post (been mowing the lawn this morning). So I believe the edger and overstitch wheel are both SPF (the french edger to rickeyfro and the overstitcher to Bruce). Troy

For width it's in between 3/16" and 1/4" and for length it's in between 7/16" and 1/2".

Hi Rick, The Ron's edger is yours. You can send funds via Paypal to ttasischesso@aol.com or send me a PM for my mailing address if you prefer to send a money order. Either way works for me. Thanks, Troy

The dimensions of the BK basket stamp face are 0.2" wide X 0.475" long. I've used this tool for fewer than 50 impressions (fewer than 50 hits with the mallet) so it is basically in new condition. Here are some pictures of the Gomph overstitcher and the Ron's french edger in case anyone wanted to see the condition of these tools. For the overstitch, the points are all sharp and clean and the wheel is tight with little or no play. The ferrule and handle are free from cracks and are nice and tight. The french edger is nice and sharp and ready to use.

Hey Pete, I don't have a machine either and I too do mostly small cases, sheaths, etc. I have both the regular and slim Douglas awl blades and they are both top notch. I've purchased harness awl blades online but I haven't been able to figure out what the various size numbers mean. I bought the smallest number harness awl I could find and it was still quite a bit bigger than the Bob Douglas blades. I've found the regular Douglas works fine for up to 8 stitches per inch and I've used the slim for 8 and 10 stitches per inch. The slim would probably work fine down to 12 spi but I've never had a reason to try it. Based solely on my experience trying the harness awl blades, I would recommend just getting one or both Douglas blades because they are sized right and come super sharp and ready to use. If you can only get one Douglas blade, I'd recommend the regular size for the types of projects you mentioned provided you're using a heavier thread like 6 cord linen. If you use smaller thread, than the smaller Douglas blade would be a better bet. I don't consider myself an expert by any means but this is my 2 cents based on my experience so far. T

Up for sale are 12 Hackbarth tools and one Hide Crafter. All of the Hackbarth tools are 1018 steel except for the border tool (in the lower left corner of the picture) which is stainless. The Hide Crafter is the leaf liner stamp at the very bottom, center of the group. Asking $125 for all of the tools shipped in the continental USA. Feel free to send me an email or PM if there are any questions about the tools.

Hi Terry, It looks like Leather Wranglers will modify their blades to accomodate other swivel knifes and I think Paul just makes the blade shank even longer than usual if a person requests a long blade so you likely wouldn't have to leave more sticking out, it would just come to you extra long. On the SK-3 blade page it says... "For special grinds or requests, please call (505) 269-7575 or email us with specifics" so maybe see if he can do what you want. I'm not affiliated with Leather Wrangler in any way and I've only had different blade grinds done (extra narrow, extra thin, etc.) but I've found Paul to be very friendly and super helpful. Good luck finding the blade you need. Troy

Leather Wranglers will make just about any size blade you want. I've requested and received narrower and thinner blades than those listed on the Leather Wrangler site and I know he makes longer blades also. Maybe give Paul a call or an email, I bet he can help you. Troy

These swivel knives have been sold and shipped. This thread can be moved to the Old/Sold section whenever it's convenient for a moderator to do so.

Kevin, No worries, sorry to jump on your post like that. I just wanted it to be clear I wasn't disparaging the Barry King knives at all, they are great knives. Since I'm still getting the hang of carving, I've only been able to cut tight inside curves (on leaves, flower petals, etc.) with the Barry King 1/4" thin angled blade and the SK-3 1/8" angled blade. I have a Henley knife also and IMO the Barry King knives are as nice and smooth as the Henley and with the 1/4" angled thin blade I'm better with the BK than I am with the Henley. But I got the 1/8" wide beader blade with the Henley so I keep that one set up with the beader. All that said, the SK-3 is an awesome knife and if you can get one I bet you would like it. Mark, I'll get the knives shipped out on Monday via priority mail. They should be to you on Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. Thanks! Troy

Kevin, I didn't mean to say the new one is so much better. The 1/8" angle blade works better for me but as you might have read in the many posts about swivel knives, it's definitely a matter of personal preference. I've had the SK-3 for about a year and have only recently come to like it more than my original Barry King and that's only after getting a 1/8" angle blade for the SK-3. I don't mean any offense by this but in the future would you please keep your views on peoples sale threads to yourself? Thanks, Troy

Hi Dan, I received a PM over an hour ago from another LW member expressing interest in both knives. When going to update this post I see you're interested too. Since his interest was expressed first and since I already replied to his PM, the other guy is first in line. If he backs out, they're yours. Thanks! Troy

I have two Barry King swivel knives that I'm not using much that I'd like to sell. One has a 3/8" barrel and a 1/4" angled thin blade. This was the best combination I found for detail carving until I got the 1/8" angled blade for my SK-3. The second knife has a 1/2" barrel and a 3/8" straight regular (ie. thick) blade. Both knives are in perfect shape and the 1/2" barrel knife is only about 4 weeks old. these are great quality knives but now that I've gotten the feel for my SK-3 these aren't getting used much. I'd like to get $40 for each knife and $10 for the extra blade and those prices include shipping in the continental USA. If someone wants both knives and the extra blade, I'd go $85 for everything shippped to your door in the CONUS. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii or international would be extra and something we'd have to work out. I can get pictures of my knives if someone needs/wants them but the knives are in mint condition and you can see what Barry King knives look like on his site.
