  1. Thanks. That someone said they liked it so I'm happy
  2. Thank you!! Not real sure what a "love credit" is, lol, but I'll take it!
  3. Haven't posted here in a bit, but I just finished this up over the weekend and thought maybe I could get some feedback. IWB for a friend, just waiting to meet up and finalize where the belt hooks are going to go. Thoughts? Comments? Thanks for looking
  4. Here are a few more pictures I took today, not very sunny out, but hopefully they look OK
  5. Thank you, not yet I'll be taking some more tomorrow, I wanna try and get good lighting. I've had a few people tell me that is some I need to work on, sorry.
  6. Finally got this finished today and someone had asked in the previous post to show it when it was completed. Learned a lot, like not to make design changes on the fly, lol. Have to make some dementional changes if I make any more like this as well as some other things that I wasn't totally happy with. But, it's done now so on to my next project!!
  7. Thanks!! I've never been able to make any kind of painting look, idc...photo-realistic? But I try not to just color something, I want it to have depth and at least look like it's supposed to Thanks again!
  8. Thanks for the encouragement, I will! Hopefully by the end of the week...
  9. Just wanted to post this here and see if anyone had some feedback. Its still a work in progress, obviously, design for the purse and I know the painting isn't the greatest so what can I do going forward to improve? Thanks for looking
  10. Damn nice looking rig!! I hate having to get "undressed" to take my holster off, so I made some "J" hooks of my own. Been using the same holster for 5 or 6 years now
  11. Just finished this up today and wanted to share. Not 100% happy with the final result but it's something I can live with. Knowing how to make patterns would help, I'm sure, but until I figure out how to do that, I'll just keep running with an idea and try to make it come alive. I spent a little more than half my life in the pet cremation industry, until the company was sold and I got laid off, so now I'm hoping to make leather working my "new life" Skulls are carved and painted, 4 strand round braid keeper chain and some lacing I'm not that thrilled about....oh well! Over all I'm happy with it and pretty proud to show off. Thanks for looking
  12. I did that to cover the safety. Glad you like it. Thats the nice thing about making my own, I can do what I want lol
  13. Perfect explanation! Makes sense thank you for the info and compliment
  14. Sorry, I don't know how to get this last picture to show in the original post so I did this... It has a pretty wicked curve with the shells inserted, but I'm built like a 12 year old girl, so it still fits me. This was my first attempt at any kind of ammo carrier so I guess this is part of the learning "curve" if you will. Thoughts and comments always appreciated. Thanks for looking
  15. I've really been wanting to try my hand at a western style holster, but lacking a revolver, I decided to go with a shell carrier. I just played with my French curves for the tooling design since the tooled area is slightly less then 2 inches and I didnt want to get too complicated in such a small area.
  16. WOW! Thanks for that!! Its hand stitched to be honest, i don't know how to use a sewing machine. Thats something I want to learn and eventually get one for leather work, being able to use a machine would open up some major opportunities for me. Until that happens though its everything is hand stitched.
  17. So this is a two part post. Part one being that not only did I finally make one, BUT I had a makers stamp made so I kinda feel "official" now. Part two being a request... What do you use for a liner? I want something easy to clean and should it be attached to the bag or removable? I keep flip flopping on which way would be better...
