Here's a larger table. 14.75 X 8.00 X .375 thick with about 8.875 from the edge of the table to the needle. Still solid as a rock. Looking at offering both tables in Storm Trooper white Cerakote. $125.00, coated. Doesn't break the bank for most folks. -
Cobra class 4: 346 bonded polyester thread? Help!
Patrick1 replied to DieselTech's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Should work but not guaranteeing it. The feed dog slot is .106 and shorter than the stock dog so not sure how a thicker thread will sew. -
Cobra class 4: 346 bonded polyester thread? Help!
Patrick1 replied to DieselTech's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Did you ever lubricate the presser foot bar inside the cover since you purchased the machine? It will stick or not move as freely giving a false pressure adjustment so you end up over compensating the pressure. The presser foot you are using spreads the pressure lengthwise vs widthwise as in @RockyAussiewelded foot. -

Well if it's any comfort, the shipping rate to Australia is cheaper than me sending something to Canada. I don't know what the rates are for the table yet but it weighs 2 lbs. or .907 kilos. @Wizcrafts would need more detail on the Adler 30-7 patcher. Like pictures of what the current plate is off the machine. One other thing on using aluminum, all the ones I ship will have an epoxy clear coat. Will probably offer some in Cerakote but that will cost more. The Cerakote is awesome, better than anodize in my opinion. Redid all my rifles in Cerakote, doesn't scratch as easily. Table works with the stock plate and feed dog also. -

Plate size is 3/8 thick X 8.00 X 7.50 of an inch. Plenty of surface area for sewing vs all that real estate with a slot down the middle. -

I didn't realize Techsew sold an aluminum flatbed attachment for the 441. I don't think they fit the flat plates. Works with round plates too, but you end up with that gap at the plate. My table is 3/8 thick aluminum vs 1/4 inch. Pretty stout and no movement. Won't be able to sell any until after Oct 30, waiting on a shipment of screws. Not everyone sells 11/64-40 screws. The best part is 95 bucks plus shipping. -

Finally got around to making a table for the wife. She loves it. Fits all my flat plates and stout. It will probably stay on 95% of the time. 2 screws and it's off. Been racking my brain for a year for a good set-up. This is too simple. The main thig for her is having a flat place to sew on. Not sure about having a fence and engraved lines for I don't no if we would need them. -
Adler 205-370 feed dog and needle plate
Patrick1 replied to Michiel's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Adler 205 needle plates and feed dogs are not compatible with the Juki 441. The plates are smaller for the Adler and the feed dog is different. As far as I know there is no lateral adjustment for the feed dog to center the needle like the 441. If your interested in a narrow feed dog and plate for your Adler look no further....https://heprecision.com/ -
The purpose of the holster plate with feed dog is to maintain the the design of the machine. It sews just like the regular feed dog and plate. You can go fast or you can go slow, and even back up with no issues. It's the same with the narrow plates and feed dogs. The

No I'm only making parts for the Juki 441 or 441 clones and the Durkopp -Adler 205. Guess I should clarify, I'm not making any more feed dog and plates for the CB 3200, but my Narrow presser foot set and left presser foot fits the CB 3200. -

I do make a #25 for the CB3200 but the demand is low for the 3200 so it's best to contact me directly to see what I have in stock. -
Cobra Class 4 Bobbin Set Screw Missing
Patrick1 replied to Brinksleatherco's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
A lot of screw thread sizes on these machines date back to the thread sizes that Singer used in their machines so your pretty much out of luck. Your best bet would have been to purchase a shuttle hook assembly of eBay for 28 bucks and use it for parts. -

Inconsistent stitch length Ferdo Pro 2000
Patrick1 replied to jrk65's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
@jrk65 should invest in a XTREME #25 NARROW FEED DOG WITH FLAT STAINLESS PLATE at heprecision.com for your Ferdco. Had a customer purchase one for his Ferdco last week with the same set-up as yours and similar issues. Don't have to stick my neck out here, feed dog, feed dog, feed dog! As @RockyAussie was saying about the oil, it's extremely important. Had another customer who purchased a brand spanking new CB 4500 with feeding issues. Had him pull the side plate, put some oil the presser and center foot bars and everything in between and now it runs as it should. -

@Kgg, I'm still not enlightened. What parts become weak? Are you talking about the tension spring? If so replace it. Running the bobbin in the clockwise direction will eventually damage the bobbin spring. Sounds like some kind of folklore with no mechanics to it. -

Enlighten me @kgg on why you would change the rotation of the bobbin except for adding another problem as in screwing up the spring. -
Narrow presser foot set. About as close as you will get when sewing an edge. Answer to the limitations of an inline foot. https://heprecision.com/

Best upgrade for your 441 clone. No more leather falling into the slot when trying to do an edge. Serrated feed dogs for the Xtreme # 25 flat plate. Great for Biothane. Check them out at https://heprecision.com/
