  1. Very nice work!
  2. Looks good! Would never know of your eye issues.
  3. Thank you
  4. Looking very good! They both go well with the grips.
  5. Looks like ebay has them.
  6. Where can I find this tool? So far, I haven't had any luck finding it online. It looks like the ticket though.
  7. The chat lady suggested it might be a nice buckle, loop and nice tip. KInd of close.
  8. Good answer! So, anyone referring to a three-piece dress belt is probably talking about a Ranger belt I would imagine? This is how my question came to be.
  9. Just exactly what is the definition of a three-piece belt? I have searched on here and saw a few pictures, but I would like to know what the definition is. This is an example of me needing to have terms defined. I asked a leather provider online chat, and we guessed at the meaning, but I want to know what you all think. Thanks in advance for any replies.
  10. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. It says on Maker's website that Don Gonzalez uses them and they don't leave an impression on the leather. Just the graphite mark,
  11. Somewhere or the other I read something about using 8B pencils for leather associated work. Does anyone know why this is so? Does anyone recommend a particular brand of 8B pencil? Thanks in advance for your response.
  12. Thanks for the info!
  13. Did this come from the Art of Hand Sewing Leather or another Stohlman book? It looks like something I need to have.
  14. Welcome from Wyoming!
  15. If by chance you decide Tandy is your huckleberry, you can order over the phone through Tandy #168 in Cheyenne WY. They often have in stock what is out of stock online. They get it shipped our fast also.
  16. I feel for you, that is a tough hit for sure. I would see what kind of return deal you can get with SLC. I will say using BK tools on the HO leather made me appreciate both.
  17. The first and only time so far in my 8-month leather career of leatherworking that I have used HO was at the Rocky Mountain Leather Show in Sheridan a couple weeks ago. I thought it was noticeably different in a good way from the economy and standard grades I had tooled on so far and which I will still use. I did hear some of the more experienced students say that HO was subject to batch to batch or year to year or whatever variances that were not always good. But not one person thought of not using HO. I look forward to my first HO purchase sometime in the future but until then I will keep plugging away on what I have. I did hear that Tandy's upper levels were quite nice also and I look forward to using them also. Hope this helps a little at least, Frank
  18. I'll see you there! This is my first show, and I am excited even though I am at best a "rank amateur".
  19. WIndy county 8 here.
  20. Another nice one!
