Looking for this hardware, its on a German WWII bag I have, the hardware is all aluminum I believe, sort of like sam brown buttons but with a much larger shoulder...they are riveted on with a washer. Thanks!

I’m looking for some of this hardware, this is off of a German military bag from the WWII. All the riveted in buttons and then this sam brown type stud are aluminum, I don’t care so much about the aluminum as I do finding something this shape, it’s almost like some kind of shouldered rivet. Anyone know about these? Thank you!

This is brand new electrical Button Badge Maker Punch Press Machine (220v, imported), we started the leather project but fail. It is fast and production button and badge machine. $950

I know how to make* a button like this one: It's commonly used on medieval style bags, pouches and shoes. What I don't know is how to properly (as in historically mostly correct, yet neat) attach the button to the item. The simple way would be to punch a hole and pull the strap through. Then tie a knot on the inside. This knot would be a bit more bulky than I desire, and feel really awkward inside a shoe, so I don't think that's the regular way to do it. Any help appreciated! * 1. Make (cut) a wedge ending with a thin strap at the pointy end. 2. Roll up the wedge. 3. Punch a hole straight through the roll. 4. Pull the strap through the hole.

I am about to finish up my first pair of chaps. I have been trying to decide what to do about the buttons for the pockets. Finally decided to go with leather rolled buttons, but can't find anything that tells how to make or attach them. I would appreciate some help...and maybe a couple photos. Thanks.
