Hi there, I posted here before but posting again to see if anyone wants some work making leather guitar straps? Our vision is really good leathers combined with simple but classic design. Think 70s Gibson guitar straps, 60s Fender straps: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364374971552?chn=ps&_ul=GB&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=364374971552&targetid=1403035015427&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9046004&poi=&campaignid=17218284410&mkgroupid=142217514411&rlsatarget=pla-1403035015427&abcId=9300867&merchantid=232684581&gclid=CjwKCAiA8YyuBhBSEiwA5R3-E7cj781-mrh7zB_yLWyn7FUuo2CtIIkVrtTj4f-dSmQStYCAnkZXShoCBYEQAvD_BwE (https://reverb.com/uk/item/66322376-fender-strap-1960s?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=20304708451&utm_content=campaignid=20304708451_adgroupid=_productpartitionid==merchantid=625253007_productid=66322376_keyword=_device=c_adposition=_matchtype=_creative=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA8YyuBhBSEiwA5R3-E9UKfbaAodpWs2OOB3HRpEdNrOSKMOEox1skBP7svLcvn0dKe3LKAhoCHzcQAvD_BwE) As far as possible, we are going to avoid sewing, burnishing, finishing edges so we can create quite a rustic look and a pretty quick production time. I'll pay a fair rate (to be negotiated with you) and bring you regular work. Anyone keen and with relevant experience/knowledge, please contact me on 07801496069. Best, Adam

Couple more guitar straps that I've done (my 2nd and 3rd straps completed so far). These are for 2 of the guys in my band. One likes Transformers and the other likes fishing... I made my own pattern for these as we wanted longer straps than we could traditionally find as it's a bit more "rock 'n' roll".

Just finished this strap last night. 9oz HO, suede lined. Customer wanted me to use her husbands custom buckle he wasn't using. I have made several straps in the past couple years, but this is my new favorite! Hope y'all enjoy! (fret not, I punched the button holes just after this picture was taken.) Another tidbit, I recently started doing some engraving and cutting silver and copper Christmas ornaments, I stamped the 'Texas' using a 14ga copper texas I had cut out. Figured out how to kind of make custom stamps! Have also used some smaller 1.5" texas cut outs to stamp on some beer cozies.

Hi everyone! It's been a couple of years since I've signed in and I did change my name from Scandinavian girl to a real one! I needed some time to see if I wanted to continue with leather and when I was moving to my new home I even had a dark moment and thought about selling my sewing machine and stuff...what a black out! Well, I'm back to the old drawing board and happy that my Pfaff's still around! I've been making guitar straps for the local players since my long time companion is a player himself. He makes and supplies the pick ups and me, well I guess I'm still the strap lady . Our pages are www.mikkihouse.fi and the name's because mikki means pick up in Finnish. I'm real happy to be back, since I'm working from home now, and I appreciate the presence of all of your company!! Can't wait to check out what's new and what everyone's doing now a days! I'm probably going to be here daily, so there's going to be a lot of silly and repeated questions from me, so have patience, please! And I'll be happy to chat about leather and what ever stuff if anyone's on the same time zone or a night owl...just give me a hoooot! Hoooot hoooot, Katariina

Adding Conchs To Pigskin Lined Guitar Strap
Big posted a topic in Clothing, Jackets, Vests and Chaps
I am working a guitar strap lined with pigskin and I have 3 screw on conchs to add. Would you add them before the lining to cover up the screws or after. Also do you just condition the pigskin or is it best to add super sheen or Tan-Kote ? -
Good day, I am an established leathersmith from Greensboro, NC. Always looking to learn new techniques and such. I work with any leather and any iem but concentrate on custom work. Check out my website at http://dragonleather.net. I can be contacted from the contact section of the menu. Good to be here. A few samples of my work are attached. Obviously you can see more at my web site. Dave

Nothing too fancy here. Just a straight black 3" guitar strap with my signature adjustment.
