Members Littlef Posted March 26, 2023 Members Report Posted March 26, 2023 Here's my latest Attempt. I feel like. bit by bit. I'm refining my process. But I also feel like for every issue I resolve, I make different mistakes. This will be pretty fun to carry at the range. Let me know what you think. Quote

The welt gives it a lot of needed structure with the cut out for the lock. That took some playing around with. Quote
Contributing Member fredk Posted March 26, 2023 Contributing Member Report Posted March 26, 2023 I've been reading up on early guns; Its hard to believe that these pistols, with barrels up to around 14 inches, were 'pocket pistols' Your belt holster would have been really appreciated back then Quote

It was also issued to the navy, where is probably remained in an arms locker the majority of the time. But... its definitely a boat anchor once you have it on your person. Same would be the case for any arms of the time. Lots of steel. Quote

I was a little nervous going with green, but I wanted to try something different. I started out with Kelly green, and I subdued it adding black and a little bit of Mahagony dye. Quote

Members GrampaJoel Posted March 28, 2023 Members Report Posted March 28, 2023 That is one of the coolest holsters I have ever seen. The green helps. I am wondering. With the fit so tight, does the front sight snag? When the pistol is removed? Quote
