I saw a guy on you-tube do this and it turns out pretty good if you are looking for a ribbon border or such .

I've tried to do that and just can't get it to turn out.  I think one of the members here did this or something similar about the time I joined up.

Seems to me the " trick " is the width of the lay - out lines . This one was .190 and worked , I did another with a full 1/4 inch ( .250 ) lay -out and it didn't turn out as well . Of course the size of beveler  is going to make a difference too . 203 was what I used .

yea I think i posted this.

Worked in a prison for 30 years if I aint shiny every time I comment its no big deal, I just don't wave pompoms.

yup the width, in looking at mine i just realize the width of the lay out lines is about equal to the width of the camo tool, i will try a few later and see if there is a correlation that would make sense. I just went with what seemed right I too would like to know a secret tip to make it easier to plan.

There might be some formula  ,  may just depend on playing with what tools one has .
