Where do y'all get your custom makers stamps and what can one expect to pay?

I had Alex make mine (2).  Very reasonable, though I'd have to dig back and MAYBE find just what I paid.  Very nice quality work.

PDF download lists a few more stamp makers (I haven't tried them, just some that were recommended, put together in one place).

I’ve got them from a few places. Tim at Steel Stamps is my first pick. They did some for me when I was doing wholesale work with clients marks. My wife had him make her a couple. None have shown any wear.

For Delrin I have some from Jeff Mosby at GreyGhost. They’ve held up reasonably well. After maybe 500 impressions you can start to see some wear but very legible. I had a couple other delrin stamp makers send me ones to try. one was OK and two other makers were cut pretty shallow on the background. Still legible but not a crisp impression.

I'm sure you wont be dissapointed. I spent about 30 mins with it on some scrap leather to figure out how to get a good impression, without getting a double I.print. 1 good solid wack caused a rebound and double impression. I found that solidly held and 2 to 4 lighter wacks got a very clean impression. I use a 1 pound poly maul, by the way.

I second leatherstampmaker.com ive used them several times for custom stamps for a few businesses i do regular work for and they work great and the first pieces i got from them has made several hundred impressions with no sign of slowing down. And with there brass stamps you can get there heating iron and use the stamps for branding as well as stamping. Ive got smaller stamps that work great with heavy handle and a hammer. And ive got bigger stamps i use in my press with equal quality results. I wouldnt hesitate one bit about goin back to leatherstampmaker for any custom stamps i need or want in the future.
