Members Gezzer Posted April 16 Members Report Posted April 16 I haven't been doing much leather since my wife went home to the Lord . Just haven't been interested , any way this sling has given me something to do . Quote
Members JDFred Posted April 16 Members Report Posted April 16 I'm sorry to hear about your wife. The sling is beautiful. I really like the simplicity of the tooling. What did you use for the backgroung for the initials? Quote
Members Gezzer Posted April 16 Author Members Report Posted April 16 @JDFred Thank you . Background tool came in a starter set , but the one in this link is almost if not the same . https://www.springfieldleather.com/Stamping-Tool-E294-Special Quote
Members PastorBob Posted April 16 Members Report Posted April 16 My condolences on your wife's passing. Went through that 3 years ago. So painful. Glad to see you on here posting your projects. Sometimes it's a nice remedy to focus on something. I have made several slings and have never done one with a "hinge" in it like yours. How does it work in the field? Does it "rattle" or make any additional noise when being used? Praying for you! Members Gezzer Posted April 16 Author Members Report Posted April 16 @PastorBob Thank you Brother for the condolences and for your prayers . I didn't do to well this last year but God has seen me through ! To me it is more comfortable than a one piece and no there is no noise ( leather on a D ring ) might squeak if the leather ever got to dry . Quote

Members Darren8306 Posted April 17 Members Report Posted April 17 Sorry for your loss, and thanks for sharing that sling. Beautiful work! I've had hardware around for years, but since I don't use a rifle often, I haven't tried to make it. Maybe I'll copy yours, and make one for a friend. Quote
