Members LisaE Posted July 1, 2012 Members Report Posted July 1, 2012 Really nice work. Where did you buy the trees ? Or did you build your own ? Greetings from Germany Lisa Quote
Members mogwild Posted July 1, 2012 Members Report Posted July 1, 2012 If it was 1/4 scale it would fit on a quarter horse. Sorry. Couldn't resist. nice job! Quote
Members Aurelie Posted July 3, 2012 Members Report Posted July 3, 2012 Salut Laurent! Le monde est petit! on se retrouve ici ! Comme dit ailleurs...moi je suis fan pour voir la suite! Good Luck avec tes mini selles! Quote
Members doubleLL Posted July 23, 2012 Author Members Report Posted July 23, 2012 (edited) Hi everybody, thank you for your comments, I appreciate. Yes, my trees are homemade, I build an original made out of wood and resin. From this original piece, i do a mold, so I can duplicate resin copies as much as I need. On the pic, barrel, pleasure, reining, cutting and roping trees. As weel, the "rawhide covered finish" is homemade. Salut Aurelie, et oui, le monde est désormais un grand village Edited July 23, 2012 by doubleLL Quote

electrathon Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 You must have very small horses in France. Quote

Members Duke Posted November 9, 2012 Members Report Posted November 9, 2012 nice! all its missing is the bridle, saddle bags, rifle scabbard and lariat. then one might mistake it for a severe. well done! anyone that owns one of those should consider themselves fortunate! btw, how much do you sell them for? Members doubleLL Posted November 14, 2012 Author Members Report Posted November 14, 2012 (edited) Hi Duke, Thank you for your comment. As I explain on my post, I working on a serie of 5 "prototype" saddles, they are currently in process and not finished yet (as shown on pics). I hope they will be done before end of year, then i'll be ready to take orders. The price will probably be around 1750 USD each (has to be confirmed according fees of material and time spent....) Members doubleLL Posted February 22, 2013 Author Members Report Posted February 22, 2013 Hello, I using a basket stamp from tandy, but i think it is not small enough according the scale. the size of this stamp is about 1/4" by 3/16". Do you know a place or an adress where i can find a smaller one? Thanks Quote
King's X Posted February 23, 2013 Report Posted February 23, 2013 try Clay Miller who can be found on here or on Facebook at Clay Miller Tools. He has made custom tools for me in the past to include a BW that is smaller than any Tandy one sold. Quote

Members doubleLL Posted May 23, 2014 Author Members Report Posted May 23, 2014 Hi, I use regular leather, 1.5 mm thickness. Hi Aurelie, you're right, it's impossible to find hardware for that scale....So it's fully homemade Quote
Members compound Posted May 24, 2014 Members Report Posted May 24, 2014 (edited) Hi DoubleLL ..i see, we have same ideas.......but different sizes I work on few small saddles-in half size- at present. I think half size is better for making and building of leatherwork details. Because i can made full size saddletrees, i can build same tree in half size. Hardwarw i order on ironworkshop of my friend-hope will be ready soon Edited May 24, 2014 by compound Quote
