Making Molding Card Case

Looks like it is coming along nicely. The tool in the first photo is interesting. Is it made for corner cutting? I have been looking for something like that already made. An "edger" may help speed up your process for prepping those edges for burnishing. Just looks time consuming with the plane and sand paper, etc. Again, looks good. Keep is updated.......Rory

Looks like a gouge used in wood carving. Looks like I didn't need to buy large hole punches for inside corners, should have brought in the carving and lathe tools. I will definitely use the gouge for the outside corners instead of making another similar tool!

There are a number of woodworking tools that can be used for leather! Just need to wake up and see the possibilities.

Hi Northmount..yeah it does look like a gouge.. There's probably quite a few woodworking tools which can cross over for use in leatherwork, with a bit of thought..

I looked at a marking gauge the other day in a charity shop and wondered whether it would do for edge marking and making the recess for a stitching line too..maybe if the point was made a bit more blunt..

The only problem I could see with this is when marking curves and corners, perhaps..

Very cool ,first class looking tools . I can assure you that we arent buying anything that nice at our Tandy stores in America . LOL!! Different approach but it gets the job done first class . I was very impressed with the cornors in the first picture neat way to get that job done . That gets a big round of applause from me ! Yes, this tools are made for leather works in korea.

I used wood carving tools before, but now I'm using this tools.

it is very sharp, perfect 25% circle and it make me working quickly.

Divide Korean price by 1000 to get approximate US/CAN $ price.

Google translator will do some translation, but you need to sort of read between the lines. Single words translate different than sentences or phrases, but will give you some idea.

I have it in my head that its something which most leave til after stitching..
