Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted December 9, 2012 Ambassador Report Posted December 9, 2012 Aurelie, Very nicely done, I love the turquoise lace, what kind of leather is that made from? Keep up with trying new things, you'll be amazed at what you can do. Quote Beaverslayer Custom Leather<br />Wearable Works of Art https://www.facebook...erCustomLeather
Members Aurelie Posted December 9, 2012 Author Members Report Posted December 9, 2012 Hi Mr Beaverslayer! I do not really know what kind of hide it is...i guess it's from a cow hide this is a fantasy leather hide - not really printed or embossed...i am not sure but it does look like some pebbles are stuck on it Quote In for a penny, in for a pound....
Members bluesman1951 Posted December 9, 2012 Members Report Posted December 9, 2012 Wow! Very sharp ! Nicely done ,excellant contrast with your colour selection . I can see this easily as a bag handle with a dozen different bags . That colour combination with the braid would make excellant applique on a hand bag . This is like a fireworks explosion of ideas . Make some nice bracelets too. This is a outstanding job no doubt about it . Big round of applause for this project ! It has plenty of WOW factor ! My compliments ! Bill Quote
Members Stewart Posted December 9, 2012 Members Report Posted December 9, 2012 Bumped to keep on top. That is one good looking belt. Lacing is on the back burner. Joe Quote
Members Aurelie Posted December 9, 2012 Author Members Report Posted December 9, 2012 (edited) thanks guys! For the little story : i had the idea of this belt after making a headstall + breast collar combo AND after Beaverslayer sweat talked me into trying making handbags (THAT will be the next step ) FYI : the combo is sold breast collar handstitched (not with sewing machine because i was not sure it would work nice) Edited December 9, 2012 by Aurelie Quote In for a penny, in for a pound....
