Members Sylvia Posted December 10, 2013 Members Report Posted December 10, 2013 That's what I do on ALL of my sewing machines. Does that mean I am a Seamster? HI Wiz! I would say so! lol (and very smart, too) Quote A teacher pointed at me with a ruler and said "At the end of this ruler is an idiot." I got detention when I asked "Which end?"
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted December 10, 2013 Moderator Report Posted December 10, 2013 In fact, the only time I actually have to thread one of my industrial sewing machines is after I have removed the faceplate to oil the Tin Man that lives inside the head. MadMorbius Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 Hello Ike, Is the screw that the lever pivots on loose? This can also happen when you take the end cover off to oil the internals & forget to line it up. Dear God if this is similar to the Techsew 5100/441 clones I might have to send you a bottle... Any chance you've got a photo of the screw in question? Quote
Members steveleather Posted March 9, 2016 Members Report Posted March 9, 2016 What about even thinner leather like two 1 oz pieces or reall soft leather? Also any complaints about presser feet leaving marks on any type of leather does that happen often ? Quote
Tree Reaper Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 How are you able to stitch this close to the high molded leather without the needle guide hitting the raised leather? Even with one foot the guide sticks out 1/4 of an inch. Quote
Members Ken Nelson Posted March 9, 2016 Members Report Posted March 9, 2016 Sew it, then mold it. HTH Ken Quote

I sometimes switch to the left toe once I clear the inside stitch line and move to the perimeter. I just raise the presser foot with the foot lifter, unscrew the right foot, screw on the left foot and proceed.
