Hi all,

I just finished using the rest of the Austin leather I had. I had just enough to make this decent sized purse, or whatever you want to call it. It's 9 oz. Austin leather, and I hand stitched all of the details.

Thanks for looking!

Monica

Thanks, everyone! I can't take credit for the idea; I saw a beautiful journal someone had made in this style, but I couldn't find out who had made it or if it was for sale anywhere. Maybe it was someone on this forum!

Ha ha, the market will be suddenly and inexplicably flooded with them . . .

Well applying it to a purse was original! An they do say "Imitation is the highest form of flattery" anyways great looking bag.....

By the way, the stitching is also impressive.

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone! It only lasted two hours in my etsy shop, so I guess I should make another one. And maybe a mandolin one, as well!

Heh, thank you WScott. That's right, just wait until I get to trumpets. Just kidding, probably.

Very nice! I love the flap detail and the leather you used looks to be very nice too. I'm sure it will last forever.

Thank you for the kind words, Tailorsham and LMO! Now I just need to use a darker colored thread to mimic the black purfling.
