Hi, Blue Duck

I beleive Tom drew the pattern using computer drawing / cad program.

The easiest way to put hand drawed template into computer format would be to scan patterns with computer scanner (digitizer) I beleive.

I'm sure Tom will explain you from first hand ;)

This might be a strange question but what are the Dee Shields for?

Oh and thanks for the pattern!

Dee shields are for placing Dee Rings onto the sides of the gusset (for the shoulder straps) and for attaching the handle to the top of the bag. Similar to what is shown here:

Thanks for responding. I figured as much but the shape threw me off. Thanks for clearing it up for me though. Can't wait to see some finished work.
