Thanks for making this pattern available, it's great for beginners like me. Would you mind sharing the DXF for this pattern? I'd like to laser cut it on some poster board. May even try laser cutting the leather.

I finally finished the messenger bag. I added another inch to the gusset making it 4 inches wide instead of 3. In retrospect I wish now that I had added the handle and made the strap longer but it is very sturdy overall and I should get quite a few years of service from it. Thanks Tom for the pattern.

If I wanted to add backpack straps to this so I could make a mini backpack, whats the best/most secure way to make and attach straps?

Hey Tom, Bringing up your old thread, What would be the best thickness of leather for this bag? Im really keen on making one to see how I go, The leather Im looking at is approx 2.5mm thick, would that be thick enough?
