I downloaded this pattern from a Spanish website about a year back. Haven't made the purse yet but I did manage to get a picture of what the end product should look like. I translated from Spanish to English and from millimeters to inches and plotted it up on a PDF file.

As before, you can take it to any office supply or print shop with a large format printer. The final print will be 42"x 30"

If anyone makes one before me, upload the picture! I'd like to see it

I happened to be looking at the picture of this purse when my wife walked by. She wants one!! Thanks for the post and pattern Tom.

Could you experienced bag makers chime in with recommendations for the leather? All I have is veg tan I use for holster, sheaths etc.. I do have some very nice 4-5 oz W&C that might work but I'm guessing that it might be too stiff for this pattern.

What say you?

Thanks,

Dan

Should a chrome tanned leather be used for this, or a really soft veg tan? I'm not into purses, but my sister is so I thought this might make a good gift.

I would go with a chrome tan

I used veg tanned water buff calf around 2.0-2.2mm thickness.Worked well and allowed me to carve stamp as well.
